'Be professional’: Former ‘Today’ host Katie Couric slams ex-‘GMA’ stars Amy Robach and TJ Holmes for losing their jobs over an affair
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fomer ‘Today’ Katie Couric recently slammed ousted ‘Good Morning America’ stars Amy Robach and TJ Holmes for losing their jobs over their romantic affair.
The 66-year-old host was asked about former ‘GMA3’ stars' alleged affair which was exposed in November 2022, leading to their firing from the show.
Couric appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ when while taking questions from the show’s fans, a tricky one popped up asking the former ‘Today star about Robach and Holmes’ firing.
Couric clearly stated that the fired duo should have been more “professional” and requested the viewers to “don’t dip your pen in company’s ink”
Katie Couric shares unfiltered thoughts on Amy Robach and TJ Holmes affair debacle
Couric once hosted the revered ‘Today’ show but now runs a multimedia news and production company named Katie Couric Media.
She often frequents as a guest on different talk shows and while she appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’, the 66-year-old journalist wasn’t spared without a controversial question.
She was asked to give her thoughts on the Amy Robach and TJ Holmes scandal by a fan.
The fan asked, ”What did you think of that whole debacle?”
She laughed and looked nervous before saying, "Oh gosh, talk about putting me on the spot here!”
She added, "I felt bad. I think anyone who loses a job because of those kinds of behaviors. There's something sad about it.”
“But also I think it's a reminder that when you're in a professional setting you have to be professional,” she added.
She continued, “What is the expression, don't dip your pen in the company ink? I think that's good advice.”
Cohen raised his eyebrows at the cutting comment, while his other show guest, Melissa Etheridge, burst out laughing in shock.
Robach and Holmes’ apparent affair was exposed in November 2022 when they were photographed on a series of intimate dates.

It will soon be a year since Robach and Holmes’ affair was uncovered. The duo have since embraced their new life together.
Holmes will be involved in a fierce divorce battle with his ex-wife Marilee Fiebig, while Robach’s divorce from Andrew Shue has been finalized.
Robach and Holmes have been focusing on what’s next and have been prepping for the NYC marathon in November 2023 which the duo plan to run together.
Robach recently shared a snap of her running in the rain, while Holmes shared a series of snaps from his run in New York, announcing his ongoing preparation for the upcoming event.
