PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star Jules Wainstein has found herself in trouble with the law as she was arrested for battery in Florida. On Sunday, February 23, the former housewife was booked into Palm Beach County’s main detention center, where she spent the night and was released on February 24. The 39-year-old former reality star reportedly punched her estranged husband Michael Wainstein, when he came to drop off their children with Jules.

Michael met up with Jules at a parking lot to drop off their two children in her custody. According to reports, Jules got out of her car and licked Michael’s car window. She then hit his car from behind with a baseball bat. After this, Jules proceeded to scratch and hit her estranged husband in the face. Their children were in the car, while she was attacking Michael, according to Daily Mail.

Michael filmed the entire incident on his cellphone because he felt threatened since a previous custody exchange with Jules didn’t go well. The couple is currently in a messy divorce battle that has been going on since 2016. Michael filed for a divorce from his wife of eight years in May 2016, after she found out he was cheating on her. Jules appeared in Season 8 of ‘RHONY’ in 2016. She left the show after just one season to focus on her family.

Michael's attorney Morghan Richardson told Page Six that the situation was serious and his client was interested in protecting the children. He said: “This is a serious situation reflecting Ms. Wainstein’s increasingly reckless behavior that unfortunately took place in front of the kids. The children were released to Michael’s custody yesterday and he is most concerned about protecting them.”

Michael has reportedly gotten a protective order against Jules following the battery. The former housewife’s arraignment is scheduled for March 16.
