Florence Pugh has had a stellar 2019 with 'Fighting with my Family, 'Midsommar' and 'Little Women', all of them earning her widespread critical acclaim. With 'Black Widow' coming in this year, the actor enters the MCU and has already garnered enough attention for playing Yelena Belova, the sister of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow. According to Comicbook.com, Pugh is still pleased about the fact that she can talk to people without them knowing she's a superstar.

The New York Times published a profile on the English actor where she speaks about how being anonymous is a great thing. "I’ve had conversations about films with people who had no idea that I was in them,” Pugh said. “I love that. To me, that’s acting. It’s like, O.K. It worked." Her makeup could be looked at as one of the reasons as it lends a rather different look to her. Pugh will be seen with blond hair in 'Black Widow'.

Earlier, in an interview with Cinemablend, Pugh shed light on why she wanted to be a part of Black Widow: "I loved the script, and I love Cate Shortland. And I think everything that they’re trying to do with that film makes it as painful and as real and as gritty as possible and it was exactly like that when we made it. And that was a really nice thing to get to, and of course, I got to be with the Black Widow and watch her work, which was pretty amazing considering she’s been the only female superhero for the past 10 years."

"It’s about emotions, and it’s about these broken girls trying to come back together again, and trying to fix something that happened," Pugh previously said about the first MCU Phase 4 movie. "It’s about fixing yourself, and how you do that. As an idea for a Marvel film, and as a young woman, it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, this is amazing.’ Young women are going to see this, and they’re going to watch Scarlett in her element, and they’re going to watch this storyline, and that’s only a positive thing.”

'Black Widow' releases on May 1, 2020.
