'Firefly Lane’ Season 2 Episode 11 Review: Cliffhanger hints at Johnny and Tully's happily-ever-after
Spoilers for ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 Episode 11
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 progresses, we have an entire episode dedicated to breasts. This episode particularly pays homage to people suffering from breast cancer and having to get life-altering surgery. Possibly 90% of the episode is dedicated to breasts and Kate Mularkey’s journey and relationship with her breasts prior to her big surgery. However, the episode doesn’t end on a breasty note, leaving viewers hooked and ready to press play on the next episode.
Here's the thing about cliffhangers and Netflix: they work shockingly well because more often than not, Netflix releases all the episodes at once, unless the series has been divided into parts. Now that Netflix has released all episodes of ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2, all they need is to keep the viewers hooked, and what’s better than a cliffhanger?

Is it wedding season already?
There was no denying the fact that ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 would feature Johnny Ryan and Kate’s wedding because if it didn’t, it would have left a trail of angry fans who loved seeing this couple grow over the two seasons. However, the wedding that is teased at the end of ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 Episode 11, doesn’t look like Johnny and Kate’s wedding, because if it did, it wouldn’t have been a cliffhanger. The wedding takes place 10 years later, in 2016, and we see an anxious Johnny waiting for the ‘bride’ with Sean Mularkey next to him.
Netflix and the creators of ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 have done a phenomenal job early on in the second part, to leave the fans guessing. Whose wedding is it? Is Johnny getting married again? However, the kicker and an even bigger cliffhanger are when we see Tully Hart getting dressed in white, putting her makeup on when she says “It’s not like you can start without me anyway.” The credits roll, and this one-minute glimpse into the future makes all the difference.
Endless answered questions
‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 Episode 11 leaves us with more questions than answers, which would make perfect sense considering there are five more episodes to go. They can’t reveal it all just yet, can they? However, the questions this one-minute clip raises are interesting, and it got us thinking too. Could this be Tully’s happy ending that she deserves? But, if it’s Tully’s happy ending, why is Johnny anxious about seeing the bride? Well, everyone is in luck, at least those with a subscription to Netflix.
All episodes of ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 are streaming on Netflix from April 27, 2023.
