LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Best Friends are your ride or die, they hold you strong like a pillar when you're feeling low, and cheer the loudest when you achieve something great. However, when two girls are best friends, that bond often turns into a sisterhood over the years. We have often seen these sorts of friendships on TV, be it between Blake Lively's Serena Vanderwoodsen and Leighton Meester in 'Gossip Girl' or be it between the four Manhattan girls (Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw, Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones, Kristin Davis' Charlotte York and Cynthia Nixon's Miranda Hobbes') friendship in 'Sex and the City'.

However, a new set of best friends are on the block of Netflix for their final chapter. You have guessed it right, it is none other than the heartwarming tale of two best friends played by Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke in Netflix's 'Firefly Lane'. In case, you didn't know with the remaining episodes which are supposed to release soon, 'Firefly Lane' will come to an end. Nevertheless, the series which premiered in 2021, navigates the lives of two teenage girls in the 1970s, all the way through to their adulthood in the mid-2000s.

Three decades, two best friends, one hell of a story

The Maggie Friedman-created Netflix drama, based on the bestselling novel by Kristin Hannah, follows a more than 30-year friendship between two women: Tully Hart (Heigl), a nationally syndicated talk show host, and Kate Mularkey (Chalke), a housewife - through love, sacrifice, jealousy, pain, and happiness. As we know this series is no stranger to leaving behind mysteries and Part 1 was no different with its cliffhanger ending that potentially foreshadowed Kate's death from a rare form of breast cancer. The Part 2 trailer finally teases some answers to the lingering questions fans had from the first batch of episodes. Namely, it sets up how these lifelong friends could finally reconcile after their blow-up.
