MARYLAND: In a quirky twist to marital dynamics, a woman has gone viral after sharing how her husband has set up a jar to fine her every time she mentions Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce at home. 

Maryland realtor Dana Rice took to Instagram, sharing a video showcasing her husband's creation—the 'Taylor Swift Jar'. For every mention of the pop-country sensation or the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end, a quarter must be deposited into the jar.

The video captures Rice's infectious laughter as she zooms in on the jar, adorned with a note that humorously reads, "Taylor Swift Jar, any mention of Taylor Swift and you owe $0.25. I can’t take it anymore. Travis Kelce included."

The husband, with deadpan delivery, insists on collecting the dues as Rice slips up during a discussion about Swift's recent appearance on Saturday Night Live. Swift's formidable presence and success have evidently captivated Rice, turning her into a dedicated fan.

“I started seeing reports and things from other people and other industries talking about her from a business perspective — from a force-of-nature perspective when she first started this tour,” said Rice noting she has got her hands on on some Eras Tour tickets to see Swift. 

Amidst the lighthearted banter, Rice confesses that her husband has already supplied her with rolls of quarters for the forbidden-Swift-name jar. Even her football allegiances seem to have shifted, with Rice now tuning in to Kansas City Chiefs games for the inevitable Swift or Kelce spotlight. “I don’t ask [her husband] who’s playing, I ask, ‘When is the Taylor Swift game?’ That’s how it’s now framed in my house,” stated Rice.
