Melania forgets Trump again in Father's Day wish even after internet went gaga over Michelle's post for Obama

Melania did not mention the POTUS in her generic post and social media didn't take to it kindly anyway

While Melania Trump and Michelle Obama both sent out Father's Day greetings on June 21, the former chose to keep her post generic as she wished "all fathers". On the other hand, the latter paid a tribute to her husband and former president through her message.

“Today we celebrate all fathers for their love, dedication & wisdom to help guide our youth to help them succeed & grow. Happy #FathersDay,” Melania wrote on Twitter sharing a photo of a white rose. She did not mention President Donald Trump, who is the father of her son, Barron, in the message and received quite some backlash for her impersonal message.

“Especially a father who won't change a diaper or soothe a fussy baby. And most especially, the father who cheats on his baby momma with a porn star right after momma gave birth,” one social media user commented, while another wrote, “I dare you to post a picture of @realDonaldTrump with Barron. You won’t because Trump doesn’t know what it’s like to be a dad and love his kids."

Michelle Obama, on the other hand, used the special occasion to pay a tribute to her husband, Barack Obama. She took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of Barack with their two daughters Sasha and Malia. Michelle wrote, "Thank you for the way you love our girls—and all the young people in this country, no matter who they are or where they come from. We feel your warmth and generosity today and every day. Happy Father’s Day, Barack!"

According to Daily Mail, the picture appears to have been taken at least a decade ago back when Obama was first elected in 2008. In the throwback snap, which received over 2 million likes, Obama is seen laughing as he pulls in his daughter Malia, who is now 21, for a hug. His other arm is wrapped tightly around his other daughter Sasha, who is now 19.

The post was also showered with praises from supporters of the Obamas. One such user shared, "Not only a phenomenal president, (the best we’ve ever had), but also a phenomenal father, role model, and husband!" Another wrote, "Happy Father’s Day to the most dignified man to hold the office of the President. You are so very missed, Mr. President." "Happy father's day Mr. President...you gave us the opportunity to hold our heads up and claim the equality that we deserve in this country," shared another.

This was not the first time that Melania had either forgotten or consciously chosen not to include her husband in her social media posts. Recently, while the rest of his family members wished Trump a happy 74th birthday, the first lady did not publicly wish the POTUS on June 14. Even as the POTUS spent his birthday at his New Jersey golf course alongside daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner, only one post was up on Melania's social media page — a retweet of a post celebrating the US Army's 245 years of service to the nation. She was also not seen anywhere near her husband as he took time off to play his favorite sport out on the course.
