Cardi B says 'she can't breathe' as Alexander Wang twerks and grooves to 'WAP', Internet calls him a 'legend'
In no time, his inverted twerking and thrusting hip movements led to a social media frenzy as fans of Cardi and Wang both adored his steps
Taiwanese-American fashion designer Alexander Wang is causing quite a buzz on social media by jiving to Cardi B’s latest music hit 'WAP' that dropped on Friday, August 7. The 36-year-old fashion mogul — who is considered a party animal and is known for his carefree attitude — could be seen grooving to the trendy song in a viral video. In no time, his inverted twerking and thrusting hip movements led to a social media frenzy as fans of Cardi and Wang both adored his steps.
What's more, Cardi tweeted the video of Wang enjoying the dance and performing several lyrical steps. The video features a montage of a few clips in which he can be seen grooving to the track while driving and rocking some steps near a gas station. “Yaaaaasssssss I can’t breath”, tweeted the rapper rejoicing over the designer’s moves on her song.
Wang has a special connection with Cardi, who often graces his fashion parties and shows and even earned recognition from such public appearances. In 2017, Cardi’s performance of ‘Bodak Yellow’ at the afterparty event at Alexander Wang’s New York Fashion Week show reportedly became the center of attraction. She was still a budding artiste in the industry then and performing for Wang was a big deal as the designer had tapped industry powerhouses like Nicki Minaj and Missy Elliott back then. The ‘Bodak Yellow’ songstress then made heads turn in Alexander Wang’s 2018 Fall show as she graced the halls of designer’s 4 Times Square show in a revealing black dress.
It seems like this time, it was Wang’s turn to amplify Cardi’s work as he danced to her track after it dropped. Within minutes, the Internet went bonkers. His video was widely shared on Twitter as fans went gaga over his easygoing and fanatical moves. A fan tweeted, “Alexander Wang stay lit lol.”

Another one called the designer a legend. “BYE alexander is such a legend”.

Indeed, it felt like the dance moves and Cardi’s song were both infectious and spread across the internet like a wave with fans mentioning they got instantly addicted to it. “CARDI I CANT STOP LISTENING TO WAP WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME????”

Wang’s moves reminded the fans that the designer is still young and has the potential to set the internet on fire. “I’m so used to designers being old as f**k that I forget Alexander Wang is literally only 36 lmao.”
