After the startling revelation about Mae, fans even proposed outlandish hypotheses about her character, suggesting she might be an astronaut.

A fan commented on the same, suggesting, "I think Mae is one of the astronauts of the spaceship that appears in the news of the first movie. They were going to Mars and the the spaceship disappeared in the space. Her clothes are very different of the other humans."

While another said, "Wait a minute! You don’t think she’s a astronaut who lost in space from the first movie."

Another admirer added to the theory, "It's starting to make sense now. Mae is likely one of those astronauts who disappeared in the beginning. She's likely an engineer, therefore Proximus wants her so she can build weapons for him and he can expand his empire. I just wish they had omitted this until the movies premiere so we can be shocked as well."

Additionally, fans argued that Mae's speaking scene held a surprising element that shouldn't have been revealed in a trailer.

One fan wrote, "Bro they should’ve saved that surprise for the movie like they did when Caesar spoke! "

About previous films, another fan wrote, "First we were stunned to hear Caesar speak, now we are surprised to see a human speak."

"I wish they kept the fact that she could talk a secret until the movie comes out similar to what rise did with Caesar and how they refilled he could talk when the movie released, "said another fan.

Fans were sent into a frenzy when the one-minute video also referred to the OG Caesar. A nostalgic fan said, "Yes they mentioned Caesar my guy" While another exclaimed, "ALL HAIL CAESAR!!"
