KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly wore matching squirrel sweaters to a holiday party, as per social media posts shared by fans who attended the event.

The sweaters were inspired by Kelce's 'squirle' tweet, which had gained attention online. The news of their matching outfits was shared on Twitter and Instagram.

It all started with a tweet!

The trail of the incident traces back to when Travis Kelce's old tweets from his college days resurfaced on social media.

One of the tweets from April 14, 2011, reads, "I just gave a squirle a peice of bread and it straight smashed all of it!!!! I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Haha #crazy."

As per Daily Mail, Kelce has acknowledged the misspelling of "squirrel" and "piece" and has expressed his amusement at how it has gained attention due to the spelling errors.

He mentioned that he had been trying to get these old tweets deleted for some time, but they resurfaced, leading to widespread attention and jokes about his spelling. 

Kelce dropped his gems before his junior year at Cincinnati, showcasing his wit before making waves on the football field with 13 catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, in the world of pop sensation romance, Kelce's now-girlfriend Taylor Swift was setting stages ablaze with her Speak Now tour.
