NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Taylor Swift and Mariska Hargitay's friendship has come full circle through a cat because, finally, Karma is a cat purring in Mariska Hargitay's lap.

The 'Law & Order: SVU' star has a new family member, a feline named after Swift's hit track 'Karma'. Hargitay took to Instagram to share the news along with two adorable pictures of the blue-eyed Siamese kitty resting on a bed and a lovely close-up of it licking its paw.

Tagging the popstar, she captioned the post, "Karma is a Cat @taylorswift Meet Karma. My Cat. #MeAndKarmaVibeLikeThat #AndIKeepMySideOfMyPawClean #KarmaIsACat."

The pop sensation also fell in love with the real-life Karma. She commented, "Are you serious?!!!! Nothing has ever come more full circle LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!"

Taylor Swift's cat is named after Mariska Hargitay's 'Law & Order' character

When the 'Cruel Summer' singer adopted her cat in 2014, she named it after her close friend Hargitay's longtime 'Law & Order' character Olivia Benson.

Olivia, the cat, has been featured in multiple music videos by Swift, such as 'Blank Space', 'Me!', and 'Karma'.

During the Eras Tour in Los Angeles, the 59-year-old actress gave a nod to the pop star's pet, wearing a friendship bracelet that spelled out Olivia Benson.

"Still in the afterglow of the most magical night," Hargitay wrote in an Instagram post after the concert. "Deepest gratitude to @taylorswift for your poetry and wisdom. You inspire us and connect us to our #delicate tenderness, joy, hope and strength—and most of all, our wish to live and love courageously. Thank you, Taylor, for all you do and all you are."

As of 2023, the 'Shake It Off' singer is a cat mom to three, including Olivia. The other two also have pop-inspired names, Meredith Grey and Benjamin Button.

Swifties swoon over 'the full circle moment'

Swift and Hargitay have been friends for years, and now the Swifties are too excited over the latter's cat named after Swift's 'Midnights' single, calling it 'perfection'.
