'Family Reunion' star Jaida Benjamin is MISSING! Family asks for help from public
Actress Jaida Benjamin, who played Kelly in 'The Family Reunion', is now missing from her home. Jaida is 27 years old and was last seen in Los Angeles on February 19. The news first spread online through a flyer shared by 'Walking Dead' star Vincent M Ward, who called upon the people of California to help him find the actress who played his daughter in the film. He urged his fans and loved ones to ping him in the event they spotted Jaida.
Jaida was last seen on Ventura Boulevard in San Fernando Valley at around 6:30 pm that night, according to the appeal. Ward posted on Instagram: “Yoooo if you’re in Los Angeles and you see this young lady please call the number. Jaida has played my daughter and I've worked with her a number of times…California friends and family, please share!”
The news was shared widely on Twitter, along with posters describing her physical details. Her aunt Jihan Johnston also shared the details on social media and said Jaida was seen at around 6:30 p.m. on February 19. She was dressed in a purple crop top, pink jogging shorts and white sneakers. The appeal says she's five foot three inches tall and weighs 115lbs. Jaida’s mother Jocinda also shared the flyer on Instagram, appealing for the public’s help in locating her daughter: “Never thought I’d ever have to make this type of post. My baby is missing. Please help me find her. I can’t breathe.” Jaida's disappearance comes just weeks after she and her mom said they would take a "hiatus" from the entertainment industry.
Jaida’s television credits include 'Mad About You', 'Insecure', 'The Fosters', 'Stuck in the Middle', 'Southland', and 'Criminal Minds'. She also appeared in thrillers like 'Murder in the Vineyard' and 'The Step Daddy', and the holiday movie 'Christmas With My Ex' with Denise Boutte and Travis Cure. The American actor Ward is best known for his roles in 'The Walking Dead' and 'The Starter Wife'.
Those with information of Benjamin’s whereabouts are urged to contact the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Person’s Unit, or, to remain anonymous, the Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers. This is the second case this month of such an incident, as 'General Hospital' actress Lindsey Pearlman was reported missing after being seen last on February 13 in Hollywood. She was found dead on February 18. No details were given on the cause of her death, which will be determined by the coroner.
