Meghan Markle and Harry adorably cradle Archie, baby bump in 'beautiful' gender reveal before Oprah interview
A new family picture of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry along with baby Archie has been released hours before their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey was telecast in the UK. The picture that showed the pair cradling their son was shared on Instagram by their photographer Misan Harriman, who captured the intimate shot, after the Sussexes revealed they were expecting a baby girl.
Taking to the social media platform, Harriman wrote: “What wonderful news to celebrate on International Women’s Day! Congratulations my friends, and welcome to the #girldad club H.” This comes after Meghan and Harry on ‘Oprah With Meghan And Harry: A CBS Primetime Special’ made the revelation about the gender of their unborn child. During the two-hour special, the couple admitted that at the time of Archie, they did not know about the child’s gender beforehand, but this time they chose to find out whether they are becoming parents of a girl or a boy.

When the 67-year-old host asked the soon-to-be-father how he felt after finding out he will be welcoming a baby girl, Harry said, “Amazing. Just grateful. To have any child, any one or any two, would have been amazing. But to have a boy and then a girl, what more can you ask for. We’ve got our family—the four of us and our two dogs.” Then Winfrey remarked, “Done?” to which Meghan replied, “Done. Two is it.” Meghan and Harry also confirmed that they would become parents for the second time in "summertime".
On Valentine’s Day, the couple first made the big revelation. Their photographer who also took the original photo that they used to announce the pregnancy news shared it on his Instagram page while writing, “Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honored to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!” Also, a spokesperson for Meghan and Harry added: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”
Meanwhile, on the release of the new family picture, a lot of people took to the comment section of the Instagram post to express their thoughts on it. One user wrote, “Such a beautiful photo of their family.” Another user commented, “Love this shot so much, Misan. Meghan needs all the love and so does every Black woman / femme today.” “They are both taking shelter behind her,” a person noted while the second one added, “Please tell them how many ppl love and support them! They need to know.”
Some of Meghan and Harry’s fans even took to Twitter to say how “breathtaking’ the picture was. A person tweeted, “I mean.......these ppl take the most incredibly beautiful, sexy, breathtaking pictures. I would buy an album of all their black&white photos if they actually sold it, lol!
