Amelia Harper (Juliette Lewis) is willing to go to hell and back to find even the slightest of clues that could help her learn the truth about the Cherry Falls Jane Doe sisters’ death. But, she is now suffering at the hands of the system after pouncing on a police officer who conveniently slut-shamed the sisters holding them responsible for their own tragic death.

Although Harper comes across as someone who has the least experience with fellow humans, she has found an admirer in Lily (Kimiko Glenn), who bails her out. It didn’t take Lily long to express her feelings Amelia, which has now turned from respect to infatuation.

Just when we started to ship a new femme-soft butch lesbian couple, at the view of them locking lips intensely, Lily pulls away, owing to her uncertainty about ‘experimenting’ with a person of the same gender. However, rejection from a potential love interest is least of Amelia’s concerns, considering everything she has on her plate to deal with.

Episode 6 of ‘Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones’ sees a major flip in Peter Hunter's (Ryan Kwanten) character as it reveals several hidden layers to his persona. Although he beat the younger Jane Doe sister to death, we can’t help but pity Peter, whose confrontation with the past sheds light on his disturbed childhood.

It’s also revealed that it was Peter who shoved the Jane Does’s body in the bark of the tree, whose skeletal remains Amelia stumbled on a while ago.

Meanwhile, Elsie (Jordan Alexander) finds herself helpless after being betrayed by Terence, who sells her guitar to buy himself some drugs. She then ends up at Amelia’s doorstep as she has nowhere else to go. Amelia helps Elsie find her guitar. However, in the process, she ends up taking a tour through the homeless shelter swamped with junkies, which reminds Amelia of her own sister who dies of an overdose.

She tells Elsie that her obsession for the Jane Doe sisters traces its roots back to the case of her own sister, who vanished into thin air, as none knew about her whereabouts after she ran away from home.

It’s established that Peter killed the younger Jane Doe sister, while the elder one succumbed to a gunshot  But, Elsie finds a scar on Amelia back, which she had seen on Peter too. Apparently, only the people of Kingston know what the ghastly looking mark on the body means.

If our assumption holds true, Amelia and Peter could be related in some way. Perhaps, they were involved in the same accident that left similar traces on both them?
