Why was FaZe Clan’s Cizzorz and Neymar banned on Twitch? Fans rally behind streamer: 'They're outta control'
Faze Clan's Cizzorz has been banned from the streaming platform Twitch and nobody has any idea why. In the last few months, Twitch streamers have seen more bans based on DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) violations and fans wondered if Faze Cizzorz is the latest addition to that list.
According to the DMCA rule, licensed music can only be played in a stream if there is explicit permission from the record companies. As of now, there has been no clear clarification on why Faze Cizzorz was banned.
On November 10, Cizzorz took it to Twitter to let his followers know about the ban as well, posting “Banned on Twitch” when his fans started speculating the possible reason behind the ban.
Currently, Brazillian football star Neymar Jr has also been banned from Twitch due to unknown reasons. He joined the streaming platform a little over a month ago. Last week, Rocket League pro player and streamer Mariano “SquishyMuffinz” Arruda was banned from Twitch for violating DMCA where he had some old clips which contained Licensed music.
Fans are expressing their disappointment at this, stating they have less reason to visit Twitch for banning their favorite players. A Twitter user wrote, “Hey guys I be slacking on Twitch bans cause every time I blink there’s another FaZe Cizzorz and now Neymar have been two of the latest today”
Another replied to Cizzorz’s tweet, “They banned you and Neymar on the same day. They're outta control.” A user predicted, “so far neymar, cizzorz the only big ones affected so far. there will be more” Another wrote, “FREE MY MANS CIZZORZ”

As most copyright-related bans are not permanent, there is a chance that the FaZe Clan streamer will be able to come back to the platform soon. Cizzorz joined the FaZe Clan, which is known as the world’s most popular professional gaming and esports organization, in 2018 after gaining popularity as one of the best Fortnite streamers during the battle royale’s heyday.
The streamer has also gained more than 4.35 million subscribers in 2020 making him one of the most viewed Fortnite players. Though he gained fame through Fortnite the most, recently Cizzorz has also started experimenting with Minecraft, Call of Duty Zombies, Dead Ops Arcade and more. In Fortnite, Cizzorz is most famous for his “Death-Run” challenges where he would create extremely hard challenges for players and whoever completes the first would get a prize from him.
Currently, FaZe clan features more than 70 professional streamers. Even though the organization debuted as a Call of Duty clan in 2010, it has now expanded to all the mainstream games including Fortnite, CSGO and PUBG to Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege and FIFA. As gaming becomes a mainstream profession, FaZe Clan remains a dominant organization for the gaming sector.
