Astroworld: Who is Ezra Blount's father? Dallas boy, 9, dies after getting trampled
Ezra Blount, 9, from Dallas who was the youngest victim of the 'Astroworld' fest tragedy has died from his injuries. Blount had slipped from his father's shoulders and trampled by panic-stricken fans. He was at the hospital in a medically-induced coma as most of his organs were injured and his brain was swollen. The death toll from the concert is now ten.
Ezra was at the concert with his father Treston Blount. Speaking to ABC13, he said his son was a fan of Travis Scott, "he was so stoked, he was ready to go." Treston and Ezra were at the back of the crowd as the former thought the location was calmer but the crowd went wild and they were pushed from all sides once the rapper took to the stage. Treston lost consciousness and Ezra who was perched high up on his shoulders was trampled by the massive crowd. Treston couldn't find his kid when he gained consciousness and he immediately rushed to medical camps on-site and several hospitals in the vicinity. He could locate Ezra after filing a police complaint post which an officer sent him a message which included a photo of the child. Treston received the tragic news of his son's major organs being damaged, including his brain, and that he was on life support.

Ezra Blount died on Sunday, November 14 at Texas Children's Hospital after nine days on life support. The family's attorney Ben Crump told TMZ, "The Blount family tonight is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son. This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert, what should have been a joyful celebration. Ezra's death is absolutely heartbreaking. We are committed to seeking answers and justice for the Blount family. But tonight we stand in solidarity with the family, in grief, and in prayer."
A statement from Crump's office read, "The suffering that this family is going through is immeasurable. This little boy had his whole life ahead of him - a life that is currently hanging in the balance because of the reckless mismanagement that ensued at the Astroworld Festival. We ask everyone to send up the most powerful prayers they can as this family tries to grapple with the undoable damage that has been done to their son. We demand justice for EB, his family, and all of our clients that left Astroworld with trauma."
