An apparent mysterious confession on Facebook by former WWE superstar Marty Jannetty has sparked a police investigation as the wrestler in the social media post claimed that he “made a man disappear”. The 60-year-old shared a post on Wednesday, August 5, in which he wrote: “I was 13, working at Victory Lanes bowling alley buying weed from a f-g that worked there .. and he put his hands on me,” Jannetty wrote. “He dragged me around to the back of the building .. you already know what he was gonna try to do.”

He continued that the man who allegedly assaulted him was “never found”. “That was the very first time I made a man disappear. They shoulda looked in the [Chattahoochee] River,” Jannetty added. The post has now been deleted.

Jannetty, who is from Columbus, Georgia, and attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama, said that he was 13 when the alleged incident happened, which means it would have taken place around 1973.

After the post went viral, the Columbus Police Department (CPD) in Georgia told TMZ that they “are going to look into this." “The first step will be seeing if we have any missing persons or unidentified remains cases that match the limited information in the post,” a spokesperson from the homicide/cold case division said. However, the department added that they have "several current active homicide investigations underway and they will have to remain the priority".

A person named James Donnelly, whose Facebook bio says he is a Moderator at WrestlingNewsSource.com, reacted to Jannetty’s confession and wrote on his timeline that read: “Congrats on getting yourself trending on Twitter, Marty. Though I think the story you used may come back to bite you in the ass! But you always write some over the top bullshit - I never know if what you share is true or not! lol. I mean last year it was 'fucking your "daughter" ' and today it's Murder?? The reactions are bizarrely entertaining, but I am concerned it could end up you getting sectioned or something!”

However, this was not the first time, Jannetty has posted something frightening. Previously in June 2019, he confessed that he was in the midst of a 60-day drug and sex bender after WrestleMania 35 in April 2019.

In the lengthy post, the self-confessed sex addict wrote: “You all know I play on here a lot, but I am about to be real. I have been partying way too much lately, possibly every day since WrestleMania. I don’t know, but I need to stop, but its just hard, my personality doesn’t allow me to be bored. For me going from 350 days a year on the road, and over 100 beautiful ladies per year, to living in the backwoods Alabama right now and only doing shows on the weekends, what the hell else am I gonna do during the week?”

Jannetty added: “Drink, smoke a lil plant, possibly throw a lil powder up, then have sex with all the neighbor girls. But its got to stop. I am not working out right, not tanning right, not studying film. Hell I ain’t doing s–t but drinking, f–king and waiting for the weekends. I am embarrassed at my own damn self to go do [events] in front of my people looking like a pale white fat pig.”
