PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Shocking surveillance footage has captured the moment a Philadelphia man gunned down a recent Temple University graduate. The gunman shot Everett Beauregard, 23, in the neck at point blank range. Police believe the attack was random and unprovoked. At the time of the murder on Thursday, September 22, Beauregard was walking home from his stop. He reportedly once interned for Congressman Brendan Boyle.
While cops initially thought the killing was a botched robbery, they now believe it was a random attack. The killer has yet to be arrested and police have not offered any possible motive for the brutal murder, the Daily Mail reported.

A video released by investigators shows the gunman walking on 35th Street between Hamilton and Spring Garden streets. A man has a slim build and is seen wearing a dark hoodie, black pants, and a medical-grade mask. His hand is seen in his pocket with the gun, which he nervously adjusts later as he walks. He reaches Spring Garden Street at the end of the 400 block of 35th Street and is then seen looking behind him. He turns and comes back down the block when he meets Beauregard midblock. Beauregard passes the stoop of a townhouse, when the suspect stops and turns, eventually firing. Gunshots can be heard in the video, after which the man flees on foot. Beauregard collapses to the ground.

Beauregard's recent alma mater, Temple University, posted a tribute to the student on Twitter. "We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of Temple alumnus Everett Beauregard, who was killed in West Philadelphia last night," the university wrote. "Everett had just become Temple Made in June, which only further magnified the tragic circumstances surrounding his death. He had a very bright future ahead of him, and it is beyond disheartening knowing we will no longer be able to watch him soar alongside his fellow Owls. Our thoughts are with Everett's family, friends and the entore Temple community during this tremendously difficult time."
US Representative Brendan Boyle wrote on Facebook after Beauregard's death, "I am heartsick to learn the senseless epidemic of gun violence has struck a member of my team, our former campaign intern Everett Beauregard. Everett worked for my campaign during the 2018 election season. He made great contributions to our electoral victory that year. He was a nice, well liked, and purposeful young man with a bright future ahead of him. We will truly miss him and we grieve along with his family and friends during this difficult time."
