NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Jimmy Fallon previously expressed his lack of enthusiasm over Jim Jordan's second try (and defeat) in the race for Speaker of the House. But now Fallon has taken a rather hilarious stance on Jordan running for the third time.

In his most recent bid, on October 18, Jordan encountered his second loss as certain GOP members withheld their support, preventing the vote from moving forward but he has shown interest in running for the third time.

'Even Nike was like, 'Just don't'' quips Fallon

Fallon started the news segment saying, "After failing to get elected Speaker of the House twice this week, Congressman Jim Jordan said that he's 'not dropping out and will keep running.'"

He continued, "When Jordan said that he was running a third time, even Nike was like, 'Just don't.'"

"Yep, Jordan wants to be Speaker of the House, so that he doesn't have to go back to his old job of being the villain in 'Scooby-Doo'."

For context, NPR had reported that the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Jim Jordan, hailing from Ohio and a member of the Republican Party, has declared his plan to advance towards a third vote in his quest to secure the post of Speaker of the House.

This shift in strategy signifies a departure from his earlier approach, which included a more prolonged campaign.

There is contemplation within Jordan's camp about triggering the vote as soon as October 19.

However, a definitive decision is pending as he emphasizes the importance of consulting with his wife and holding discussions with the 20 members who cast their votes against him in the initial ballot earlier this week.

'Not everybody can grow up to be President'

'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' fans could not help but comment on Fallon's monologue.

One person put forth, "Gym Jordan is proof that not everybody can grow up to be President nor should they. How is he going to swear to uphold and protect the constitution when he wanted to terminate it".

Some of the hilarious and right-on-point comments read, "Jim Jordan third in line to the presidency? PERISH THE THOUGHT!"

Another snarky response read, "Imagine all the acts Jim Jordan could cover up if he referees as speaker!"; Another said, "Someone just needs to run against Jordan to push him out of the speakership".
