Emily Ratajkowski flashes 'f**k harvey' message shortly after Weinstein announced $25 m settlement with accusers

The 28-year-old actress arrived at the 'Uncut Gems' premiere with the clear-cut message written on her arm just hours after news broke of Harvey Weinstein reaching a $25 million civil settlement with more than 30 accusers of sexual harassment.
UPDATED DEC 13, 2019

When Emily Ratajkowski wants to get a message across, she will do it even while supporting her husband at the Hollywood premiere of a movie he has produced.

The 28-year-old actress arrived at the 'Uncut Gems' premiere with the words "f**k harvey" written on her arm just hours after news broke of Harvey Weinstein reaching a $25 million civil settlement with more than 30 accusers of sexual harassment against him.

Emily was attending the event on Wednesday, December 11, to support her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, who has produced the film. But even while walking the red carpet, she did not forget to make a bold statement as she posed for the shutterbugs.

Although the message was short, it was no less powerful. Raising her left hand and resting her palm on the back of the head, the actress struck an array of poses while giving piercing stares at the camera. However, the black strategically cutout ensemble that she had donned was not as striking as the two-worded message written with black ink on her inner arm.

She also posted a photo of her temporary inking on Instagram and addressed the news of Weinstein's settlement on her Instagram page.

"Today Harvey Weinstein and his former studio made a $25 million deal with his victims. Weinstein, accused of offenses ranging from sexual harassment to rape, won't have to admit wrongdoing or pay his own money. #nojusticenopeace," she wrote in the caption.

That was not the first time that Emily had condemned Weinstein's sexual misconduct which had started the MeToo and TimesUp movements in 2017, which eventually led to an array of allegations of misconduct against other high-profile individuals being exposed.

"I think people need to wake up and realize there's something deeply disturbing [about the industry]. I think that there are a lot of power dynamics that have been deeply sown from the very beginning of the industry," she previously told Harper's Bazaar.

According to the New York Times, Weinstein will not be paying the settlement himself. Instead, it will be handled by the various insurance companies representing his now-bankrupt film studio, the Weinstein Company.
