Where is Emilee Dubes? Parents fear Missouri girl, 15, who vanished from home is being held against her will
ASHLAND, MISSOURI: Emilee Dubes, a 15-year-old who disappeared from her bedroom, is believed to be being held against her will, according to her family. Dubes vanished from her home in Ashland, Missouri, on the evening of December 4.
A Facebook post by the nonprofit Missouri Missing says, "Her family believes she may be in the Fulton, Missouri area being held against her will. However, she could be anywhere. Her phone is not with her." Dubes is described as 130 pounds and 5 feet 4 inches tall. Ashland Police Chief Gabe Edwards claims Dubes likely cut the glass of her bedroom window and fled without her parents' knowledge. Edwards claims in a video released by the Missing Person Awareness Network on Tuesday, December 13, that Emilee's disappearance does not meet the criteria for an Amber alert. The requirements include a plausible suspicion that an abduction occurred, a credible threat of serious injury or death, and details about the victim and abductor. Edwards stated, "None of the criteria could be met"

Pete and Jennifer Anders, Dubes' parents, also made an appearance in the video to implore for their daughter to come home. "If you know anything, please come forward. If you are a parent, you know this is terrifying for our family. My priority is making sure Emilee comes home safe," Pete stated.
The family is offering a reward for information that leads to her safe return. The relatives of Dubes have also raised awareness and made social media posts in an effort to get in touch with Dubes. Dubes' relatives state that "she's not in trouble" in a video that Chrissy Anders uploaded on Facebook.
Dubes' relative stated, "All we want is for you to come home. You are not in any trouble, please just come home," noting that Dubes has previously left without authorization and returned in less than six hours. "This time, she left and she took nothing. Not her phone, not a jacket, nothing," the relative added.
A candlelight vigil for Dubes was scheduled to begin at 6.30 pm on Wednesday, December 14. The family has also set up a petition that people can sign to change the requirements for minor children in Missouri who go missing so that an immediate Amber alert is sent out. A total of 186 individuals have signed the petition, which needs 200 signatures for the change to take place.
