AUSTIN, TEXAS: Elon Musk, the prominent figure in the tech industry and CEO of Tesla, recently appeared on Joe Rogan's podcast, where he made a joke about the Israel-Hamas conflict, causing some discomfort for Rogan.

What joke did Elon Musk make on the Israel-Hamas conflict that made Joe Rogan uncomfortable?

Musk and Rogan delved into a wide range of topics during their podcast session on Tuesday.

Rogan donned a Halloween costume, which included a blonde wig and a baseball jersey, whereas Musk sported an outfit that he humorously referred to as "half-dressed as the wizard of Australia," featuring a silk scarf and jacket.

During the course of their conversation, the topic shifted to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, and Musk made a joke that appeared to make Rogan uncomfortable.

The discussion transitioned to Musk's coverage in the New York Times and the difficulties associated with managing the constant media scrutiny.

According to the Independent, Rogan remarked, “If you’re a high-profile figure like yourself, it’s impossible to make everybody happy. So, there’s going to be someone that says something s***** about you. When it’s in print, does that mean more, because other people are going to see this s***y thing? That’s where it gets odd."

He added, "Essentially, an article in the New York Times is just a single person’s opinion, and whatever editor gets involved.”

According to the Independent, Musk replied, "It's just that a lot of people will read that. I find the New York Times these days to be difficult to read."

Rogan added, "Well, unfortunately, they make some grave errors. Like that Hamas bombing the-”.

At this juncture, Musk interrupted with the word "Hummus?" and began to laugh, even though the ongoing conflict is of a serious nature and has resulted in loss of life on both sides.

Rogan resumed, "The Israelis bombing the hospital," evidently not finding the wordplay amusing.

Musk carried on with the jest, remarking, "Chickpeas!" However, Rogan did not pursue the humor further and responded with a simple, "Yes, it's delicious."

Amid his laughter, Musk suggested, "I think we should just cut off chickpea exports," and then added, "That'll bring them to their knees right away."

What are you gonna do, take a chip and dip it in nothing?”

As reported by the Independent, Rogan tried to shift the conversation towards the pizza they had ordered, proposing, "What we need to do is introduce them to pineapple and anchovy pizza."

To which Musk replied, “I hope that’s coming!”

As Rogan briefly turned away to speak with someone from his crew off-camera, Musk continued to wear a smile.

Joe Rogan's reaction to hearing about the Israel-Hamas conflict

In a previous episode featuring American comedian Brian Redban, Joe Rogan shared his deep concerns and fears about the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Rogan revealed his feelings, saying, "I have been freaking out over the last few weeks at night time, and I just start thinking about the future of the world and I start like legit freaking out, like what would happen if we were like legit Armageddon 'Mad Max' nuclear war."

He continued, "How far are we away from that?"

Rogan explained how this anxiety plagued him before going to sleep, leaving him lying in bed, pondering the unsettling question of how it all would be resolved, with the Israel-Hamas conflict being a particularly distressing aspect.

Rogan further elaborated, stating, "This Israel thing just scares the s**t out of me. Because when I see something like that happen, there's like no clear way this resolves peacefully like this is bad, this is real bad."
