LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Three celebrities have been named by Gucci as the faces of its next 'Gucci Guilty' advertising campaign, which officially debuts on March 1. Elliot Page, an Oscar-nominated actor, director, and producer, is one of the faces of its 'Pour Homme' scent from the collection. This is his first time serving as the face of a fragrance ad.

He is accompanied by A$AP Rocky and the actress Julia Garner, who is also debuting in a Gucci campaign despite being a longtime friend of the company and having frequent access to its fashion events and red-carpet appearances. Rocky and Garner will be present at the Gucci runway presentation in Italy to be held on February 24.

'An ode to self-acceptance, friendship and love'

The press release for the ad campaign teased, "Rocky, Garner, and Page personify an ode to self-acceptance, friendship and love in all its forms through a story of tenderness, imagination, and curiosity." Gucci Guilty has been a part of the Gucci beauty line since its debut as the company's first scent in 2010. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme was introduced in 2011 by the Italian brand following the original fragrance's enormous success. Gucci Guilty Intense Pour Femme and Pour Homme are two new additions to the beauty line from the previous year, as per Daily Mail.

Elliot Page came out as trans in 2020

In a post on social media in December 2020, Elliot came out as transgender and non-binary. "Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To have arrived at this place in my life," the actor added.

Elliot was married to Emma Portner, 28, before coming out as transgender. The couple got a divorce in 2021, less than two months after he did. Before the actor came out as transgender, Elliot and Emma allegedly "separated last summer," according to a statement. They then decided to make the breakup public. "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer," the statement said. "We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends."

Elliot spoke candidly about how much his life has changed since his transition on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Elliot explained that he had been reflecting on, "very difficult times in my life, certain struggles and obstacles and all that and I think ultimately getting through that it really deepens your empathy. I think of the times in my life where I was the most uncomfortable. Where I was the most unwell, those were the times where I was the most angry. And I was the most unkind to myself or self-righteous or all of those things. It’s improved my life drastically," Elliot said.
