LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Television host Ellen DeGeneres, 64, completed 14 years of marriage with her wife Portia de Rossi, 49, on August 16. Ellen wed the actress in California in 2008, and on Tuesday, she posted a message for her on Instagram. She uploaded a compilation video of cute and funny moments between herself and Portia from 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.

"It’s good to be loved. It’s profound to be understood. I love you, @portiaderossi. Happy 14! ❤️," she captioned the video, which now has over 89k likes. The video showed the couple fighting to collect apples in a game program, exuding a strong sense of love. Portia was once referred to by the comedian as her "rock."

Days before the tv host and Portia's anniversary, Ellen's ex-girlfriend Anne Heche passed away after being removed from life support as a result of a terrible vehicle accident in Mar Vista, California, in which she crashed into a residential home.

After former workers of Ellen's television program charged the show's producers with fostering a hostile workplace atmosphere in 2020, Ellen commended her wife for motivating her to keep going. "It broke my heart; I couldn't have gone through everything I went through without her. It was a horrible time in my life, and she was a rock. She kept me going and tried to help me put things in perspective," said Ellen. The pair have grown closer and are now good at putting one another at ease. "We've grown together as a couple, and we really consider each other and put our relationship first. By doing that, you become a lot more solid. I can't imagine spending time with anyone but her," expressed Portia. In response, Ellen said, "We think the same things, say the same things at the same time, finish each other's sandwiches—no, sentences. We're in a rhythm that's easy."

Ellen expressed sympathy through a message on her Instagram story after Anne passed away. It said, "This is a sad day. I'm sending Anne's children, family, and friends all of my love. " Anne and Ellen went out together from 1997 until 2000. After her terrible death, Heche's biography is currently selling for about $750.

The deceased star's 2001 novel, 'Call Me Crazy', has seen a sharp increase in value amongst fans and admirers after she passed away at the age of 53. According to Entertainment Tonight, the book, which was priced at $26 and was initially released by Scribner over 21 years ago, is currently being offered on Amazon as a collectible. The book is available for between $739 and $949, based on the vendor.

The biography highlights the star's mental health issues as she attempted to cope with her life in the limelight. In addition, it also talks about the trauma she experienced as a result of assault as a child and her highly publicized previous relationship with DeGeneres. In a final discussion with the 'Behind the Velvet Rope' podcast, Heche expressed her desire to publish a new book, 'Call Me Sane'.

The book she had in mind, which she referred to as the exact opposite of 'Call Me Crazy', would have discussed her journey through life as she overcame childhood abuse and trauma while giving others guidance on how to deal with situations in their own ways. "It's the practice of how to get over abuse and how to start the process of living in love with yourself that engaged with others and living in love with kindness so you can bring yourself to others in a full capacity," said Anne.

Even though the podcast was produced in January, it wasn't made public until August 14, 2 days after she passed away. After experiencing serious neurological damage, the actress was deemed clinically dead as per California law, but her family decided to hold off on removing her ventilator until organ recipients had been contacted.
