After reports suggested that Ellen DeGeneres' marriage is on the rocks, the latest news about the couple suggested that the talk show host was reportedly jealous about the fact that her wife had been offered a cooking show after a network was impressed by her talent.
Globe Magazine cited an unnamed source while reporting that Food Network expressed their desire to hire Rossi for a show after they were impressed by the food videos she had been uploading online during the lockdown period. A source told the tabloid that the host of 'The Ellen Show' was not very supportive of her spouse landing a show.
“Portia has been really upping her culinary game during the lockdown and she’s realizing she has a serious talent for this stuff, especially tricky Middle Eastern dishes. She has such a cute way of moving around the kitchen, even when she makes mistakes. She’ll stand there and hem and haw and forget what she was doing, which a lot of people can relate to,” the unnamed source said, as per Globe.
The outlet further reported that DeGeneres' jealousy stemmed from the fact that she wanted her wife to stay at home instead of going to work. She was even irritated about the prospect of her home being possibly turned into a studio where Rossi would film her show. “Portia points out a lot of celebrity chefs work out of their homes. But Ellen is dead set against turning their house into a set with cameras and people traipsing through their kitchen,” the source said. Meanwhile, Rossi feels DeGeneres is being “unfair” and a “hog.” “She just thinks Ellen is being pig-headed and stubborn,” the insider claimed.

The source shared, "She insists she’s done nothing to deserve this hostility and feels like she’s being bullied, not the other way around. Ellen is on the edge and she has shed a lot of tears!" The source also shared how her struggles are affecting her marriage.
The comedian has apparently been lashing out at all those around her in light of the rumors and speculation. "Before all this, they were doing a lot better, but this has really knocked the stuffing out of DeGeneres. What she needs – besides solving this work mess ASAP – is a nice, long vacation or time off to take stock of her life and fully calm down," the insider added.
