Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has enough money to never work again should she choose to leave 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'. It was just last week that reports had revealed that Ellen and her show were being investigated amid allegations of racism, bullying and sexual harassment off camera, according to Variety. Recent rumors have suggested that Ellen is ready to leave her show as accusations of her being "mean" and having a negative off-camera attitude continue to pile up against her.

An insider spoke to US Weekly and said that she is "more than financially secure" should she choose to leave. The source shared, "Ellen has enough money to never work again. She would be fine to leave the show." The insider added, "She has enough money to live a great life." It is also reported that Ellen knows that it's "her responsibility" when it comes to her crew and staff on the show.

The source added, "She has never been afraid to fire anyone who is bad." The reports of her leaving her show are unconfirmed even as a source said that Ellen "wants out" following the heavy backlash she has received. Meanwhile, another source has said that Ellen does not have any official plans to leave the show.

We had earlier reported that Ellen's staff apparently now fear that the controversy surrounding Ellen could result in "the show shutting down, Ellen quitting or worse the show and the host getting canceled," according to a US Weekly report. An insider revealed, "Staffers are texting and calling each other freaking out as they fear Ellen [DeGeneres] will quit or that the show will be canceled. The show feels done. It's going to be very hard to turn this around."

A Telepictures insider told Daily Mail that "she feels she can't go on and the only way to recover her personal brand from this is to shut down the show." The insider added, "The truth is she knew what was going on, it's her show. The buck stops with her. She can blame every executive under the sun – but Ellen is ultimately the one to blame."

In recent months, the 62-year-old Ellen has been accused of propagating a toxic work culture and has been called out for her alleged bullying behavior by her employees, former guests and fellow celebrities. Ellen had also issued an apology to her staff where she had said, "On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness – no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect."

"Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry." Reports have suggested that James Corden is being lined up to replace Ellen DeGeneres's afternoon talk show given the toxic workplace accusations made by her employees. The 41-year-old James Corden, who is the host of the late-night talk show called the 'Late Late Show' is apparently ready to supersede the coveted late afternoon slot.
