Who is Elijah Hyman? 28-year-old arrested after threatening to kill people at Yo Gotti concert
A potential mass shooting was thwarted by the Memphis Police Department after an individual at Yo Gotti concert threatened to kill people only because he and his girlfriend broke up. According to a report by Fox 13 Memphis, the cops revealed they responded to an armed mental consumer call and met the suspect and his girlfriend after arriving on the scene.
Yo Gotti too took to Twitter to thank the Memphis Police Department for ensuring his birthday bash concert was not hampered. According to the rapper’s social media post, the incident occurred three hours after the show ended. A Facebook post of the Memphis Police Department stated that the incident took place on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 2:48 am, on the 200 block of South Main Street.

Elijah Hyman is the suspect that has been arrested by the cops. He threatened to kill people after he and his girlfriend parted ways. The latest picture of the 28-year-old White individual was also released while revealing that he was charged with the Commission of the Act of Terrorism. On their Facebook post, the cops revealed Hyman appeared distraught due to a breakup between him and his girlfriend.
The Facebook post further stated, “Officers were advised that since Hyman and his girlfriend's relationship was coming to an end, he wanted to kill himself and everyone he saw coming from an event being held at the FedEx Forum. Hyman was bleeding from his right hand as a result of being cut from a glass window inside of his apartment.” The post further read, “Officers were advised Hyman had several weapons inside his apartment. Hyman was detained, placed in cuffs, and taken for medical treatment and evaluation.” Hyman was found with several weapons after a search warrant was conducted and the ATF was called in later.

Yo Gotti took to Twitter to thank Memphis Police Department for proactively reacting to the threat. “Thank you to the fans, artists, and everyone involved behind the scenes for making Birthday Bash a smooth, secure and successful event”, said the rapper adding, “We were informed of a potential threat regarding an individual seeking to harm attendees leaving Birthday Bash that occurred 3 hours after our show ended.” He concluded, “I would also like to thank the Memphis Police Department for their swift and proactive action in ensuring that all attendees returned home safely.”
