Viewers left shaken after TV host suddenly collapses on to the floor during live show
BOGOTA, COLOMBIA: A Colombian TV presenter shocked viewers as she collapsed on the studio floor during a live broadcast. Elianis Garrido, 35, suffered the medical emergency while co-hosting the local show 'Lo Sé Todo' ('I Know Everything') on the state-owned Canal 1 network in Colombia.
Stunning footage from the broadcast showed Garrido holding her face before suddenly falling forward from her chair and onto the floor. The studio sprang into action as the presenter hit the ground. A man behind the cameras was seen throwing his papers to the floor as she ran over to help his colleague and leaned down to check on her.

The dramatic studio clip, posted by 'Lo Sé Todo' Colombia's Instagram account, showed co-presenter Ariel Osorio quickly calling for an ad break before rushing over to his colleague's aid. The footage showed four more people gathering around Garrido while helping her into the recovery position.
'Everything is fine'
Osorio told viewers that Garrido had suffered "respiratory problems" and was rushed to a medical center. Addressing her mother live on the show, he said, "Everything is fine, Eli is perfect. She is finishing up some security protocols and she is fine, don't worry. She will call you soon, we will tell you what is happening with Eli." TV presenter María Fernanda Romero later revealed that Garrido had not been feeling too well for several days due to the changes in the climate, adding that she was also suffering from a bad cough before she passed out. However, the presenter is reportedly recovering well, per local media.

Garrido thanked her fans for their support a couple of days after the incident, assuring them that she had since made a full recovery. "Thank you all for your messages," she said. The incident reportedly took place on March 16, two days before American weather presenter Alissa Carlson Schwartz fainted live on CBS LA. The meteorologist, 47, was about to start her weather forecast when her face suddenly became pale, her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she fell to the ground.
The former Mrs California, based in Los Angeles, has since reassured her fans that she is "going to be ok" and that she was relieved it wasn't her heart this time. She was reportedly referring to a leaky heart valve that she was diagnosed with in 2014 after she had thrown up in the middle of a TV broadcast. After the latest incident, Carlson Schwartz posted an update on Facebook thanking her followers "for all the texts, calls, and well wishes," adding, "I am going to be ok!"
The weather presenter continued to update her viewers on how she was feeling and shared photos of well wishes, flowers, and gifts on her Instagram Stories. She revealed that she was out of the hospital and recuperating, the Daily Mail reported.
