Ed Sheeran describes what the gravesite looks like
Speaking to GQ Magazine, Sheeran clarified saying that it is not a crypt but a chapel.
The 'Shape of You' singer said the place is also meant to be used as a resting place for friends who have been cremated.

"I wouldn't say it’s a crypt; It's a hole that's dug in the ground with a bit of stone over it, so whenever the day comes and I pass away, I get to go in there," said the singer.
"People think it’s really weird and really morbid, but I’ve had friends die without wills, and no one knows what to do," he added.
How many children does Ed Sheeran have?
Ed Sheeran, who married Cherry Seaborn in 2019, shares two daughters Lyra, born in 2020, and Jupiter, born in 2022.
Talking about his gravesite, the songwriter said his children could visit him at the place when he dies.

While discussing his family and contemplating the afterlife may seem uncomfortable to some, Ed Sheeran is no stranger to heartfelt expressions.
He further reflected on being expressive in life by recalling the time he wrote one of his biggest tracks 'Perfect' written for his wife Seaborn just two months into their relationship.
Sheeran admitted to having some second thoughts about penning the song at the time.
"When I was writing 'Perfect' I thought, 'This is really cheesy, Cherry is gonna think that I’m like the cheesiest fucking boyfriend,'" Sheeran said of his 2017 hit.
Ed Sheeran credited his daughters for his change in drinking habits
The 'Afire Love' singer who prefers to keep his daughters out of the spotlight candidly spoke earlier this year about how his children inspired his decision to change his drinking habits.
"Two months before Lyra was born, Cherry said, 'If my waters break, do you really want someone else to drive me to the hospital?'" the 'Perfect' singer told Rolling Stone magazine.

"Because I was just drinking a lot. And that’s when it clicked. I was like, 'No, actually, I really don’t.' And I don’t ever want to be pissed holding my kid. Ever, ever," he added.
"Having a couple of beers is one thing. But having a bottle of vodka is another thing. It’s just a realization of, 'I’m getting into my thirties. Grow up! You’ve partied, you’ve had this experience," Ed Sheeran continued.
"Be happy with that and just be done.' I love red wine, and I love beer. I don’t know any old rockers that aren’t alcoholics or sober, and I didn’t want to be either," he further explained.
