Yet another tremor has hit Harry and Meghan's life, but this time around it isn't a metaphorical one, but an actual earthquake of 4.5 magnitude.

The royal couple moved away to Canada's Vancouver Island in search of a "quiet life". On Friday, January 24, at about 1.30 pm local time, an earthquake was reported to have hit the island, but thankfully no damages were reported.

A US National Tsunami Warning Centre revealed that a tsunami would not be hitting the island either.

Geologists have located the south end of the island to be the epicenter of the earthquake. The Daily Mail reported that Meghan and Harry have been staying in a mansion on Saanich Inlet outside of Victoria on the island's southern tip.

The couple has been staying in a mansion worth $14 million since Thanksgiving. A source close to the couple revealed to Daily Mail that the couple has no plans of leaving the island any time soon.

According to local media reports, the couple has reportedly been spotted hiking in the woods near their mansion and also at a local farmers market. The couple seems to have taken to their new life away from royal duties and with loads of privacy.

Meghan has previously spent several years in Toronto while filming for 'Suits'. The couple shocked the world when they announced that they would be stepping back from their royal duties, and would be pursuing "financial independence" while dividing their time between the UK and North America.

The stepping back from royal duties means that the couple would no longer be able to use their HRH titles and the public funds for royal duties. They also offered to pay back $3.14 million (£2.4 million) of taxpayers' money spent on the renovation of Frogmore Cottage.

Following the couple's announcement of stepping down from their royal duties, the Queen issued a statement thanking Harry and Meghan for their contribution and praised Meghan for how "quickly" she became a part of the family.
