NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Dylan Mulvaney, a prominent transgender influencer, was among the notable attendees at the premiere of ‘Asteroid City’ held at Alice Tully Hall in New York City on June 13. The 26-year-old influencer turned heads with a fashionable ensemble, donning a black Stella McCartney mini skirt and a matching black vest that showcased her slender legs. 

To add a touch of Western flair, Mulvaney completed the outfit with stylish black cowboy boots adorned with white stars. She initially arrived at the event wearing a trendy oversized blazer with structured shoulders, which she later took off.

Causing a stir at the Tony Awards

Recently, Mulvaney made headlines at the 76th Annual Tony Awards when she was surprised on the red carpet by Tony the Tiger, the mascot of Frosted Flakes. The incident caused a stir among the audience and the moment was caught on camera by the press. Mulvaney referred to it as a "camp moment" when she posted about the Tony Awards on Instagram.

At the 'Asteroid City' premiere, Mulvaney's sleek, raven-colored hair was styled into a funky 90s-inspired bun with gelled spikes protruding at the back. She accessorized her ensemble with a black purse featuring a gold chain. For her makeup, she opted for a smokey eye and nude lipstick.

Mulvaney took to TikTok to share a "get ready with me" video, providing insights into how she put together the stylish outfit, referring to it as a 'she/they outfit of the day.' In the video, she explained the choice of the oversized blazer, stating that she embraced the perception of having broad shoulders and decided to amplify them further.

Among the other notable attendees at the premiere were Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Bryan Cranston and his wife Robin Dearden, as well as Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman. 'Asteroid City', directed by Wes Anderson and starring Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, and Hanks, is set in a fictional American desert town in the 1950s, exuding an eerie ambiance. The film had its premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 23, 2023. It is scheduled for a limited release in New York City and Los Angeles on June 16, 2023, followed by a wider release on June 23, 2023.

Mulvaney, who studied musical theater in college and previously portrayed Elder White in the National Tour of ‘The Book of Mormon’ in 2019, expressed her excitement about attending Broadway's biggest night, especially considering her theater background. Her appearance at the event was made possible through a partnership with Meta, as mentioned in her Instagram post.
