At the 'Asteroid City' premiere, Mulvaney's sleek, raven-colored hair was styled into a funky 90s-inspired bun with gelled spikes protruding at the back. She accessorized her ensemble with a black purse featuring a gold chain. For her makeup, she opted for a smokey eye and nude lipstick.
Mulvaney took to TikTok to share a "get ready with me" video, providing insights into how she put together the stylish outfit, referring to it as a 'she/they outfit of the day.' In the video, she explained the choice of the oversized blazer, stating that she embraced the perception of having broad shoulders and decided to amplify them further.
Among the other notable attendees at the premiere were Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Bryan Cranston and his wife Robin Dearden, as well as Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman. The film had its premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 23, 2023. It is scheduled for a limited release in New York City and Los Angeles on June 16, 2023, followed by a wider release on June 23, 2023.
