'Dying to be a Cheerleader': Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about Lifetime's thriller movie
Lifetime’s upcoming thriller film ‘Dying to be a Cheerleader’ follows Darcy, who is hell-bent on becoming a part of the cheerleading team in her new school. However, her cheerleading dreams are met with obstacles when she crosses paths with Taylor, who leads The Amazons. However, their fights and jealousy get sidelined by a murder that occurs at the school’s gym shower, for which Darcy gets blamed. Plot
The official synopsis for the film reads: "After her mothers’ untimely death, Darcy moves in with her wealthy aunt Cassandra for a fresh start. On her first day, Darcy watches the school’s cheer team, The Amazons, practice led by Taylor and Taylor’s best friend, April. The practice ends in a heated argument that causes one of the cheerleaders to break her ankle. Still, Darcy wants to try out but is stopped by Taylor, who becomes jealous after seeing Darcy with her jock boyfriend."
"This becomes the least of everyone’s concerns when one of the cheerleaders is found dead in the gym showers and Darcy appears to be the one to blame. Soon, deadly pranks and blackmail begin to surround Locklear High, and it all leads back to Darcy and The Amazons,” it states further.

Ashlynn Yennie
Ashlynn Yennie is an American actress best known for her role in the 2019 Dutch horror film ‘The Human Centipede’ and its sequel ‘The Human Centipede 2’. She will be seen as Darcy’s rich aunt Cassandra in ‘Dying to Be a Cheerleader’. Yennie played the lead role in the television series ‘Submission’.
Kalen Bull
The 19-year-old is an up-and-coming actress who in the last year has booked leading roles in two Lifetime movies. In the 'Wrong Cheerleader', she played the role of 'Jen', best friends to the protagonist played by Christine Prosperi. Next up she will be playing the beautiful and confident 'Taylor' in 'Dying to be a Cheerleader'.
Dominique Booth
Dominique Booth essays Darcy in the Lifetime movie. Booth is popular for featuring in films such as 'Boogeyman Pop' and 'Down from the Mountaintop'.
