Country singer Dwight Yoakam and his girlfriend of a decade, Emily Joyce, said their vows in March amid the ongoing pandemic.

Yoakam and Joyce's wedding was an intimate affair and saw less than 10 guests owing to the practice of self-isolation and social distancing in the given dire circumstances.

A couple of pictures from his nuptial were shared on his official Instagram handle and captioned, "Dwight Yoakam and Emily Joyce were married in March just prior to the quarantine in a private ceremony at St Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica, CA. At a time when there is so much uncertainty in the world, there are still happy moments."

"In the face of shutdowns and social-distancing requirements, love prevailed, and the less than ten attendees were seated at least six feet from one another. The happy couple have been engaged for several years and have been dating since 2010. This belated announcement was withheld out of respect to so many people affected by and on the front lines of this pandemic," it further read.

Meanwhile, thrilled fans are seen showering the newlywed with loads of love. One of them wrote, "I'm so happy to hear the good news I did a happy dance. I couldn't be more excited for y'all. Congrats Emily and Dwight."

"I never believed Dwight when he told me he 'Ain't That Lonely Yet' & this photo proves it! Congrats & stay safe, TC," said another referring to their adorable wedding pictures.

Another fan commented, "Congratulations! I love how truly happy you two have always seemed together. Hope every day will be filled with love and blessings, and that the hard days will be filled with grace."

Yoakam is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards. He won an Academy of Country Music Awards for Top New Male Vocalist in 1986 and a Grammy for his 1994 superhit track 'Ain’t That Lonely Yet' under the category of Best Country Vocal Performance, Male, among many more.

The talented musician has so far recorded more than 20 albums, of which five were Billboard #1.
