Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson revealed that Jason Momoa could very well be in future movies of the 'Fast & Furious' franchise. Johnson shared that he and Momoa had actually made a huge effort to get Momoa on board for the upcoming spinoff of the 'Fast & Furious' series 'Fast & Furious presents: Hobbs & Shaw'.
The 46-year-old WWE star Dwayne, who reprises his role as Luke Hobbs in the movie, took to his Instagram comments to share, "Me and Momoa tried hard to get him in this movie to play my brother. But his schedule was too packed." Instead, the role was given to Dwayne's fellow WWE star Roman Reigns whose actual name is Leati Joseph Anoa'i. Johnson shared that the "next Hobbs movie for sure" should see Momoa in it.
Momoa made headlines with the success of his feature film 'Aquaman' which made an estimated $1 billion worldwide ever since it was released last month. Momoa had first appeared as the iconic DC character in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' which released in 2016 and also 2017's 'Justice League'.

Johnson took to Instagram on Friday to share a shot of himself as well as Reigns on the set of the upcoming film. He captioned the picture, "Good times droppin’ sweat and spillin’ blood with my family, @RomanReigns who’ll be playing my brother in our FAST & FURIOUS UNIVERSE. I’m very proud of his focus, effort and authentic performance in our movie for his very first time on film."
Johnson referenced Reigns' health issues after Reigns had shared that he was battling leukemia last October. Johnson shared, "I’m also very grateful to spend this quality time with my cousin here in the islands as he takes life one day at a time to recover from leukemia."
Reigns also took to Instagram to share, "The time I‘ve spent with my cousin on this wonderful island has truly been a healing grace," before adding that he was very grateful to Johnson, the WWE, Universal Pictures, and "everyone on the set of HOBBS & SHAW, for allowing me to be a part of this franchise." The movie 'Hobbs & Shaw' will be arriving in theaters on August 2.
