Dwayne Johnson is a 'proud father' as 17-year old daughter Simone graduates high school
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had every reason to celebrate as his eldest daughter Simone graduated on Friday.
The 'Hercules' star not only made time to attend her graduation ceremony but also took to Instagram to share how proud he was.
In a heartwarming post, he wrote, "And then your babies graduate."
He posted two pictures of the pair — one of which shows Simone pulling away from her father as he tries to kiss her. "Very proud of my first daughter graduating high school, kickin' ass and is now NYU bound," he added. "I love you and one day you'll stop pulling away from my beastly arms & kisses".
In reply, the 17-year old said: "Love you thank you for coming."
Johnson was dressed in a Hawaiian style T-shirt and a pair of tinted glasses. Simone's cap featured a Marvel reference as half of it showed the Captain America logo while the other half featured Bucky Barnes' red star. She topped off the attire with short dark bob hair and a choker necklace.
Simone has also been spotted with Johnson in the past as she attended the Sundance Film Festival with her father in January 2019 to support him at his movie premiere.
Simone was also his date on Valentine's Day. He had dashed off on a special trip to Florida so that the duo could spend the day together. He also went on to share that less sleep was no problem as he got to spend some valuable time with his daughter. "So proud of her and that apple sure didn’t fall far from this tree,” he added. “Dropped her off, gave her a massive bear hug and back on the bird to get to work."
According to People, Johnson co-parents the teen with ex-wife Dany Garcia. While she went on to marry Dave Rienzi, Johnson's personal trainer in 2014, the 'Jumanji' star has been in a long term relationship with Lauren Hashian. He’s also father to daughters Jasmine Lia, 3, and Tiana Gia, 13 months, with Hashian.
While Simone preps for life at the NYU, Johnson has a few projects in his kitty. His 'Hobbs and Shaw', a spin-off of the 'Fast and Furious' series with Jason Statham ('Expendables'), will hit the screens in August. He is also set to appear in 'Jumanji 3' and 'Jungle Cruise'.
