In light of the Ukraine crisis, a TikTok user has received a lot of attention for posting a statement which many are calling sexist. As users continue to comment on the video, it has surpassed 2 million views.

TikTok user @notpoliticalspeaking wrote in the original post, "Facts #63 Once again All the Men have to stay and fight. To protect children, elderly and Women leaving the country." It continued, "Where are all the Feminist at to say this is Unfair? It's been really quiet lately."

Multiple reports of Ukrainian women staying to fight the Russian invasion were kept out of the TikToker's post.

In Kyiv on Thursday, a 21-year-old Ukrainian woman married her fiancé on the spur of the moment. They both planned to report to the military reserve offices and fight for their country right after the ceremony. She told CNN, "We have to protect it. We have to protect the people we love and the land we live on."

A New York Times photograph of a Ukrainian woman, a teacher, fighting back tears as she awaited deployment went viral on Saturday. She's flanked by other ladies who are also carrying firearms in the photo.

In 2018, Ukrainian women were allowed to formally enlist in combat roles, and the country's draught was opened to able-bodied women aged 18 to 60 in December. NPR reported on women preparing for battle before Russia attacked last Thursday.

According to the Daily Dot, the TikToker composed the video to emphasize that men are called upon "when hard times come up in life." He argues that the insults don't disturb him and that "what matters is the truth."

According to a Wall Street Journal report, 32,000 women are registered in the Ukrainian military, a "small percentage" of fighting-age women in Ukraine, according to the TikToker. At the time of writing, women made about 15% of Ukraine's overall military personnel. Women will play a "key role in the nation's defense" in the wake of Russian invasion, according to the same WSJ piece. Statistics on how many women stayed behind to fight after last week's invasion are yet unavailable.

The attempt by @notpoliticalspeaking to convert the Ukrainian crisis into a talking point against feminism enraged many. One Twitter user wrote, "❤️✊🏽🙏🏽🔥Salute!! There’s a huge cockwad @notpoliticalspeaking on TikTok that needs to see these pictures!!!"
