Candace Owens takes a dig at feminists while making sandwich for husband, says 'that's what a woman should do'

Accompanying Candace's Instagram story was a caption that read: 'Barefoot, pregnant and disappointing feminists everywhere'

Conservative commentator Candace Owens took to her Instagram account to share a strange message to women which was to make your husband a sandwich "like a woman should". Owens who is currently nine months pregnant made the remarks on an Instagram story on Tuesday night, January 5 while in the kitchen. The video begins with someone behind the camera, believed to be her husband, asking Owens what she is doing. 

While cutting a thick piece of ham on a cutting board, Owens responds and says, "Making my husband a sandwich of course, because that's what a woman should do. Be in the kitchen, making her husband a sandwich when she's nine months pregnant and barefoot." She then begins to laugh into the camera as she turns back to the sandwich and starts to place the slices of ham. The story also had the following text displayed at the bottom, "Barefoot, pregnant and disappointing feminists everywhere." 

This is not the first time that she had made such comments and back in 2019 in May, she had responded on Twitter saying that she was not a feminist because she would make her husband a sandwich. She had also shared a video of herself saying, "This toxic form of feminism which has emerged is a scam."

She had added, "You fall for that, that is a scam." Her tweet had read, "I’m not a feminist for very simple reasons. I love being a woman. I love men." She continued, "I can’t wait to get married and start a family and I‘d gladly make [her husband] a sandwich, every time."

"Feminism is a scam. If you think Lena Dunham and Kathy Griffin are happy— go be a feminist," she shared. She had recently taken to Twitter to share, "One of my favorite mainstream lies about me. I was actually never a Democrat. I have never once in my life cast a ballot for a Democrat politician or registered as a Democrat. I used to be liberal— meaning, I held liberal, idiotic perspectives in my youth. Then I grew up."

She was slammed for her comments across social media. One such user shared, "When you make sweeping generalizations like this, you come of as a partisan idiot." Another added, "Ppl.... if they only did research & learned how to speak properly, they wouldn’t made an ass of themselves!"

We had earlier reported that Owens had lashed out at "racist Democrats" for allegedly exploiting the Black Lives Matter movement to bring back segregation and "destroy" lives. Owens condemned companies like Netflix and Uber Eats in a series of tweets on Saturday, January 2, taking issue with categories they created specifically for Black people, The Sun reported.

"Netflix now has a category for 'black cinema'. Uber Eats now has a category for 'black restaurants,'" Owens wrote. "The Left has reintroduced segregation back into American society under the guise of progressivism— they used #BLM propaganda to anger black people to the point of blindness."

"Racist Democrats rebranded segregation as black empowerment, and ignorant fools fell for it," she added in another tweet. "Spoiler alert: they aren’t done yet. Keep believing evil white conservatives want to bring harm to you while the actual evil white racist progressives continue to destroy your life."
