Duane 'The Dog' Chapman has responded after his daughter attacked his longtime friend Moon Angell for getting close to him.

Speaking to Radar Online in an exclusive interview, the Bounty Hunter said that Moon has been with him through the worst period in his life, unlike his children. However, he added he had no intention of replacing his late wife Beth.

“Moon has been a trustworthy and loyal friend to me for over 20 years. She has been with my family through many ups and downs,” the 66-year-old explained. “All my children are grown and gone on their own, there’s no one left to help me!”

“Moon is experienced. It’s just that. Who knows what my future holds, but right now I need her,” Dog admitted. “There will never be another Mrs. Dog but that doesn’t mean I have to be so sad,” he added.

Lyssa Chapman, Duane's daughter, became embroiled in a nasty Twitter feud with Angell last month after a now-deleted report claimed the latter was dating Duane.

“You’re disgusting woman,” the 32-year-old wrote in a tweet to Angell on December 18. “Any person who moves in on a man weeks after losing his wife, who you were supposed to be a ‘friend’ to, is the lowest scum on the planet-Which for you wasn’t that far of a step down from where you were before. God will get you MARY!!!”

However, Dog said he has been keeping himself busy, adding that he has been praying for someone to come into his life and take away the loneliness after his wife's death.

“I know Almighty God hears my broken heart and I didn’t ask him for another Mrs. Chapman, but I asked him for a friend and He gave me Moon," he told Radar Online.

Duane shared an Instagram selfie posing with Moon on January 7.

“Thank you MOON!!!!” Dog wrote in the caption of the photo, which saw him giving the camera a thumbs up.

As previously reported, Dog lost his beloved wife Beth to cancer on June 26, 2019.
