Following an autopsy, the body of  Drew Carey's ex-fiancee, Amie Harwick, who was found unresponsive under the third-story balcony of her Hollywood Hills home last week and later succumbed to her injuries, was released to her family on February 19. Also, her funeral plans have been finalized.

According to her obituary page, the remains of the 38-year-old former Playboy model-turned-Hollywood sex therapist will be laid to rest on February 27 in her hometown of Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

"Amie was raised in Lansdale, PA and graduated with North Penn High School’s Class of 1999.  She moved to the Los Angeles area in 2001 and completed her undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic State University.  She received her Master of Arts in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and her Doctorate of Human Sexuality from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality," the website fondly remembered her.

It also listed some of the things and activities that made Harwick happy when she was alive. "She loved horror movies, collecting taxidermy, and many objects in formaldehyde jars. Amie was quirky and fun. The camera loved her, and she was becoming a photographer herself,” the online tribute further read.

“Amie loved her family. Her favorite visit every year was the annual ‘CBD’ (cookie baking day) when she could see all of her cousins, aunt, parents, brother, nieces, and nephews. Of course, the visit always included cheesesteaks, pork roll, and Lebanon bologna!” it added.

The Medical Examiner's report released on Wednesday listed her death as “homicide." It also revealed that she died of “blunt force injuries of the head and torso" which was consistent with being flung off the third-floor apartment balcony. In addition, the report found “evidence of manual strangulation.”

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, on February 19, Gareth Pursehouse, the victim's ex-boyfriend, was rearrested on a no-bail warrant, and was charged with one count each of murder and first-degree residential burglary with the special circumstance allegation of lying in wait.

"In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Amie’s memory to Rock to Recovery, an organization that brings the healing power of music to people in treatment for addiction, trauma, and mental health concerns, at https://rocktorecovery.org/donate/" the obituary concluded.
