Hip hop icon Drake has been linked with a number of women in his decade-long career and the latest to make the headline is musician Naomi Sharon. The rapper is being accused of having an affair with the 26-year-old budding singer-songwriter and ending her eight-year-long relationship with her fiancé.

A report published by the website Hot New Hip Hop revealed that a popular post on Drake's subreddit accused the Grammy-winning rapper of flying out Naomi and her partner to work on his upcoming album ‘Certified Lover Boy’ (CLB) which led to all this drama. Sharon’s fiancé took to his Instagram account to announce that he was no longer with her before making his social media account private. According to the website Hot New Hip Hop, the fiancé has been identified as a fellow musician called Jamie Sun.

Naomi Sharon is a Dutch and Caribbean singer-songwriter who was born in Rotterdam on March 4, 1995. She credits her family for her early start in music. Sharon, who was once part of The Theatre School, kick-started her career as an actress and performed in plays like Dreamgirls and The Lion King, as reported by the website ThisIsCurated. Sharon’s Instagram profile identifies her as a musician. She keeps her fans updated with random singing posts. Her debut single ‘The Moon’ was released in April 2019. She also has singles like ‘Breeze’ and ‘1991’ to her credit.’ Looking at her music portfolio, it seems Sharon is a pro at Soul, Alternative R&B, and Smooth Jazz.

How did Naomi Sharon’s 8-year long engagement end?

According to the website Hot New Hip Hop, Naomi's fiancé took his Instagram account to share that he was no longer with her. It is believed that the news came after she was spotted with the 34-year-old Canadian rapper at a gym. Sharing on Instagram, Sharon’s fiancé wrote, “Imagine having the most beautiful, supportive, and faithful relationship 8 years long with an engagement and wedding planned. A beautiful woman on your side as ride or die. Than[sic] this major opportunity comes and a world star calls your fiancé[sic] to sign a record deal. Flies you both over and than[sic] out of nowhere all the trust is vanished with knifes in your back and in your heart.”

Sharon’s fiancé also shared another post where he made clear that he broke up with the singer. "I am no longer with the person people think I am together with. I am no longer with the 8 years I thought I was together with." For the unversed, Drake follows Sharon on Instagram and the latter has also liked several of the rapper’s IG posts in the past. 

Drake gets his fans' support 

Drake, who enjoys a massive fan following across the globe, was all over social media. Despite being accused by Sharon’s fiancé, the rapper actually got a lot of support from his fans where a majority of them believed that Drake was not at fault here. Drake's latest Instagram post has a caption that reads 'Without Remorse', we wonder if it is in reference to this accusation regarding Sharon, however, both Sharon and Drake are yet to comment on the matter. 

Commenting on the accusations against Drake and Sharon's private life being discussed in such a manner, one user stated, “Honestly Naomi Sharon’s music is top f**king tier and I’m disappointed I got introduced to her this way.” 

The next one posted, “Drake definitely name dropping a Naomi bar on CLB.” One individual claimed that Sharon would be the one to benefit from all this drama, “I went to that shorty Naomi Sharon IG to see what ol girl looked like and lawd is all I gotta say. She about to be at 100k plus followers by tomorrow. Drake bout to put her on the map.” In the same vein, one believed, “Drake did her a favour.” Another cheekily said, “I don’t blame Drake, Naomi Sharon is a ting. Jesus.” A fan of Drake clearly taking the his side tweeted, “Look, Drake is not at fault here. He ain't the one who was engaged. And I mean... I peeped Naomi's IG... I understand a bit.”
