Drake clarifies he meant no 'disrespect' to Kylie Jenner, says 'side piece' song wasn't supposed to be played

It's a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after. He was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue. Last thing I'd want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to stay that to start off the day."

The rapper had to apologize after he fuelled rumors of a fling with Kylie Jenner as he reportedly called the beauty mogul “a side piece” in his unreleased song. The 33-year-old said this on Wednesday, May 20, when he went on Instagram Live to tease some unreleased music from a collaboration with Future.
“Yeah, I'm a hater to society / Real s***, Kylie Jenner that's a side piece / Yeah, I got 20 motherf***in' Kylie,” he bragged in the song. Not only this but the unreleased song also made reference to the 22-year-old’s sister Kendall and model pal Gigi Hadid as the rappers sang, “Yeah, I got 20 damn Kendalls / Young slim baddies and they in vogue / Yeah, I got 20 f***in' Gigis.”
According to reports, Drake and the ‘Bum Bum Tam Tam’ singer have been working on the unnamed song for around two years and it has evolved over the period. It has also been said that originally the Kylie rhyme was rapped by Future.
However, as the speculation about their fling started doing the rounds on the internet, Drake shared a statement on Instagram to clarify things. He explained that the clip was three years old. He also said that by no means he wanted to “disrespect” his friends. "A song that Mark ran last night on night owl sound live set shouldn't have been played. However, this was not the first time the rumor of Drake and the billionaire’s fling has started doing the rounds. Last fall, they were spotted spending time together after Drake’s 33rd birthday in October. At the time, a source told Us Weekly that the ‘In My Feelings’ singer and Kylie’s relationship “isn’t anything serious”.
“Drake has always had a thing for Kylie and it’s mutual. They hang out here and there and have been more recently than in the past because Kylie is technically single right now and the two of them live so close to each other,” the source revealed.
The source also said that though the two felt something between them in the past, they did not act on it until recently. “They have known each other and been friends for a very long time and there has always been a spark there, but their situation is complicated and so is Kylie’s with Travis,” the insider said, referring to Kylie’s ex-boyfriend Travis Scott with whom she shares a daughter, Stormi.
While a second insider at the time shared that their friendship “did take a romantic turn recently”. The insider said, “At his Halloween party, they were affectionate and clearly there together. They’ve been seeing each other romantically.”
Meanwhile, an earlier report has revealed that Kylie wants to have more kids after Stormi. "I want seven kids down the line, but not right now," she told her friend Stassie Karanikolaou for her #DoYourPart Instagram Live series when asked about becoming a mother again.
Currently, the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashian’ star is quarantining with her two-year-old daughter Stormi. In an Instagram interview with Karanikolaou, Kylie said that she has bought several outdoor toys for the little one to protect her against all negativity, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic. “I have bought her every single outdoor toy you could imagine. She has bouncy houses out there, water toys.” Kylie also said that she ordered her little one a Slip N Slide but it hasn’t arrived yet,” adding, “She’s been outside every day, just living her best life – I’m trying to keep her entertained.”
