SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Former president Donald Trump's "major announcement" is finally public, however, it's earning him much ridicule and has left the internet in splits. On November 15, 2022, Trump declared his third straight bid for president, but his campaign has been overshadowed by a number of self-inflicted scandals and has so far failed to rekindle the media fervor that accompanied his initial candidacy in 2015 and 2016. He has now chosen to feature himself as a superhero on digital trading cards he's selling, the former president revealed.

“MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here!” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Thursday, December 15. He continued, “These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career! Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting." The former president added, “GET YOUR CARDS NOW! Only $99 each! Would make a great Christmas gift. Don’t Wait. They will be gone, I believe, very quickly!”

In a video announcing the trading cards, Trump said he was “hopefully your favorite president of all time – better than Lincoln, better than Washington,” the New York Post reported. Internet is split over his so-called "major announcement", with the majority of the users saying he's turned himself into a laughing stock. "Oh my f*****g god, Trump's 'major announcement' is to sell digital trading cards, lololol, he is so lucky you idiots are as dumb as he thinks you are," a Twitter user wrote.

Another said, "Trump's 'big' announcement being Trump superhero trading cards is just incredible. My guy has totally lost it. The Loser Energy and grift is just off the charts. Biden is winning Montana and Alaska in 2024 at this rate." The third said, “Trump Trading Cards? The ultimate gold digger! Right up there with Trump wine, steaks, ties, shirts, university, and presidency. All worthless.” 

Twitter users couldn't believe that Trump could make this up. Stating that the former president has lost his mind, one user tweeted, “You can’t make this up. Donald Trump’s ‘major announcement’ are digital trading cards that cost $99 each. Classic grifter and narcissist behavior. He has truly lost his mind more than I can possibly imagine. DOJ & Jack Smith, please hurry up and indict this man.” 

"There is no way this is real life, I refuse to believe it." "HOLY S**T! Donald Trump’s major announcement was that he’s selling digital superhero trading cards. I can’t believe that pathetic putz was ever president," another user wrote.

Multiple hashtags regarding Trump also began declaring him a laughing stock and a national disgrace, stating "Trump is done" among others. Some thought it was a joke until the reality befell upon them, while few said it made them laugh hard, "I really thought this was a joke when I first heard. But no," one user said. "Please tell me this is a Joke? LMFAO," another wrote.
