ST LOUIS, MISSOURI: Former President Donald Trump is under investigation by the FBI, who raided his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida because they believe Trump not only possesses dozens of boxes likely containing classified information, but also evidence that could shed light on whether there were efforts to obstruct the government's investigation. One of four investigations could show him possible violations of the Espionage Act, mishandling of federal records, and obstruction of a federal investigation. Against this backdrop, a satirical site on Twitter set the Internet abuzz by posting a tweet about Trump's son, Barron Trump.

Another investigation FBI, being conducted, concerns the January 6 attack on the Capitol and broader efforts to overturn the 2020 election when he lost to Joe Biden. There are two other investigations related to the billionaire. The Halfway Post, known for posting news with a dash of humor, posted an absolutely satirical commentary that read, "BREAKING: Donald Trump says he hopes the DOJ will think about his son Barron because if he goes to jail, Barron will lose the father who is so close and dedicated to him." The thread continues with several stories in which Dash MacIntyre, the owner of the site, trolled Donald Trump.

What is The Halfway Post?

The Halfway Post is an online publication that is based out of St Louis that writes halfway true satirical news and Dada journalism. Dadaism was a revolutionary movement in the early 20th century, focusing primarily on the challenges of the modern age, Dada artists explored a form of anti-art. The publication was founded by Dash MacIntyre who claims "When it comes to the hypocrisy, hubris, and egomania of contemporary conservatism in America, I tell the quiet part out loud." Apart from The Halfway Post, another bifurcation of the publication is the Substack newsletter The Halfway Cafe.

Twitter reacts to Halfway Post's tweet on Barron Trump

One user wrote, "OMG! He's using his youngest child as a shield against arrest and prosecution. He knows judgement day is coming. What about the children of the Capital Police injured and dead. What about the children of his supporters that are going to jail due to one mans lies." Another user tweeted, "Honestly think Barron would be better off without him around. And I don't for a second believe that tfg is close or dedicated to 'any' of his children. They are tools to be used as he pleases, nothing more." A user wrote, "And…that isn’t how the DOJ works. Have EVER heard of the law going easy on anyone “for the sale of the children”?"

One user said, "I'll bet he couldn't tell you the first thing about Barron's life... friends names, classes he's taking, favorite hobbies...bec TFG only thinks about himself." Another user held Trump accountable for the January Capitol riots and tweeted, "Trump obviously wasn’t thinking about Barron, or anyone but himself for that matter, when he broke the law and started a coup to take over the government. Best thing that could happen to Barron would be to place him in a home with normal people with a strong set of moral values."
