'He's heartless': Donald Trump slammed for ignoring Melania in 'deranged' Mother's Day rant
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a Mother's Day tribute, former US President Donald Trump seemed to have entirely ignored his wife, Melania. Mother's Day was observed on Sunday (May 14) in the US, and in typical Trump fashion, the 76-year-old used his own social media site, Truth Social, to post a raving greeting to his supporters.
He wrote, "Happy Mother's Day to ALL, in particular the Mothers, Wives, and Lovers of the Radical Left Fascists, Marxists, and Communists who are doing everything within their power to destroy and obliterate our once great Country." The note continued, "Please make these complete Lunatics and Maniacs Kinder, Gentler, Softer and, most importantly, Smarter, so that we can, quickly, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"

He did not, however, include a Mother's Day greeting for Melania, his wife of 18 years, and the mother of his youngest child, Barron Trump. The moms of his other four children received no mention either. With his first wife, Ivana Trump, who died last year, the former president had three children: Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr, and Ivanka Trump. He later had Tiffany Trump with his second wife, Marla Maples.
'He's got to make it about him'
The bizarre tweet was dubbed "deranged" and "heartless" by Twitter users. One person wrote, "Donald Trump didn't wish Happy Mother's day to any of his wives ! He didn't even put flowers on his first wife's grave.. He's heartless." Another added, "Donald Trump can't even post a positive comment to the Mother's on Mothers Day and y'all want this man as your president?"
A third user wrote, "Donald Trump's Mother's Day post has to be one of the saddest things I've ever read from someone who claims to be an adult. Can't just wish people happy Mother's Day-he's got to make it about him."

The omission comes just days after an unidentified source told Page Six that Melania and Trump were "more bonded than ever" as he pursues the presidency in 2024. Although Ivanka Trump has moved back from the spotlight as her father launches another run amidst legal issues, Melania Trump appears to be firmly behind his candidacy.
Trump 'more confident than ever'
According to an insider, Trump is "really beaming next to Melania," and the pair appears "more bonded than ever." Friends believe Melania's rise, while Ivanka and Jared Kushner have stepped down, has given Trump "more confidence than ever," as reported by DailyStar.
