Donald Trump Jr, the son of former President Donald Trump, has now jumped into the controversy surrounding the discussion between CBS' 'The Talk' co-hosts, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood, over Osbourne's defense of British talk show host Piers Morgan for his comments on Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey, which also aired on CBS last week.

Trump Jr had taken to Twitter to post his comments following CBS' decision to put 'The Talk' on a brief hiatus while the network launched a probe into the heated exchange between Osbourne and Underwood over Morgan. Live shows of 'The Talk' for Monday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 16, were called off which were expected to feature journalist Elizabeth Vargas and singer Carly Pearce. 'The Talk' is expected to be back live on Wednesday, March 17.

Piers Morgan slams 'The Talk' hosts for 'bullying' Sharon Osborne, seeks apology for calling him a 'racist'

“We are committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace. All matters related to the Wednesday episode of 'The Talk' are currently under internal review,” CBS said in a statement on Friday, March 12, after launching an investigation into the matter.

Osbourne had gotten into a heated argument with Underwood during an episode of 'The Talk' on Wednesday, March 10, over Morgan's comment on Meghan speaking out about having suicidal thoughts while with the British royal family. Morgan had accused Meghan of lying about her mental health during her and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Osbourne defended Morgan and told Underwood, who was in tears, that he was just expressing an opinion, saying, "I know he has a right to say what he feels on the interview, as we have a right to say and everybody has a right to say what they feel with freedom of speech." She then asked Underwood not to cry, "Because if anyone should be crying, it should be me."

Morgan first responded to the news of CBS taking 'The Talk' off the air, tweeting, "So ⁦@CBS has yanked The Talk off air while it investigates the ‘scandal’ of ⁦@MrsSOsbourne defending me when ⁦@sherylunderwood⁩ said I was ‘racist’ for disbelieving Meghan Markle. The REAL scandal is me being branded a racist for refusing to believe a liar."

Trump Jr had earlier made a video he shared on Rumble regarding his thoughts on the Sussexes' interview with Winfrey, declaring he "actually couldn't care less." He admitted that he had not watched the interview because it was "not worth the time" and added, "Are we really pretending that she’s a victim of all of this? Has she ever met a camera that she probably didn’t love? Are we really pretending that? I actually feel bad for Harry. He’s like a guy in a hostage video."

Trump Jr then retweeted Morgan's comment, writing, "This is getting insane! Now other shows are being pulled off the air because someone who actually knows someone else doesn’t believe they’re racist simply because someone else accused them of it with no basis simply because he didn’t believe someone else. Got it?!? @piersmorgan."

Many took to social media to call out Trump Jr with one user writing, "INARTICULATE @DonaldJTrumpJr is HYPERVENTILATING! Someone who ... someone else ... simply because ... someone else ... simply because ... someone else ... '. ALL IN ONE SENTENCE! Breathe, junior ... breathe. @EricTrump @FoxNews @GOP."

Another user tweeted, "Jr-why r you even involved in this? Its like you r always looking for an argument or stirring the pot so others will. We just hit the 1 yr anniversary of the 1st death from Covid in NYC. Remember the body bags stacked up? It was all a nightmare. You & Dad should acknowledge that!"
