Is Trump 'jealous' of Obama? POTUS's angry Twitter meltdown has Internet questioning his mental health

Obama called POTUS' presidency a 'reality show' that he's using 'to get the attention he craves' and this was followed by Trump's angry rant on Twitter

Former president Barack Obama’s Democratic National Convention 2020 speech seems to have irked President Donald Trump, as he took to Twitter on August 19 to share a string of tweets slamming Obama. During his speech, Obama blamed Trump for the state of the nation due to the pandemic.

Speaking live from the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, Obama said, "Donald Trump hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t and the consequences of that failure are severe. 170,000 Americans dead. Millions of jobs gone." He even called POTUS' presidency a "reality show" which he is using "to get the attention he craves". While Obama delivered a strong speech against Trump, the president responded to the accusations through a series of tweets slamming Obama for "spying" on his campaign. Trump also questioned Obama on taking almost a year to endorse Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. 

Trump's first tweet read, "HE SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN, AND GOT CAUGHT!" He was perhaps referring to FBI's investigation of his former campaign adviser Carter Page, with regard to Trump campaign's alleged association with Russia. 

In the following tweet, Trump wrote, "WHY DID HE REFUSE TO ENDORSE SLOW JOE UNTIL IT WAS ALL OVER, AND EVEN THEN WAS VERY LATE? WHY DID HE TRY TO GET HIM NOT TO RUN?"

Trump didn't stop at that. He also used the platform to throw jabs at vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris following her DNC 2020 speech. He took a dig at her over her 2019 debate with Biden, where she had reportedly criticized the former vice president on race-related topics. Trump wrote, "BUT DIDN’T SHE CALL HIM A RACIST??? DIDN’T SHE SAY HE WAS INCOMPETENT???"

Although many established that Harris had in fact labeled Biden a "racist" during the debate, the reports that came in later confirmed that Harris had stated, "I do not believe you are a racist."

In response to Trump's above tweet one wrote, "Kamala Harris did not call Joe Biden a racist and never said he was incompetent. The Democratic primary is over and both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are powerfully teaming up against you. Trump did all sorts of things during his primary fight and should understand how it goes."

Trump's tweets caught a lot of attention for obvious reasons and people took to Twitter to react to POTUS' meltdown after Obama's DNC speech. While some criticized him for his statement against Obama, others wondered if the president's reaction was triggered by something more serious such as an underlying mental health issue — something he has already been dragged for a lot of times. 

One Twitter user wrote, "One of the best. @BarackObama makes @realDonaldTrump look like a reject from One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest."

Using a parody of Trump's tweet, one user mocked, "People are saying I'm having the Biggest Meltdown anyone's ever seen!"

Meanwhile, one user noted that Trump was only attacking Obama because he is "jealous" of the former president. "Trumpy is jealous. He can never be as young, good looking, intelligent, and popular as President Obama," read the tweet. 

Adding to the previous tweet another internet user wrote, "The second best thing to watch other than Obama destroy Trump, is Donald Trump whimpering from his bunker, with the lights on because he’s scared."
