'Melania is no different from any woman'
"Their paths barely cross," an insider told The Daily Mirror, adding, "Melania is no different from any woman. Having her husband accused of cheating on her not just once but twice is extremely disturbing. There is little wonder people believe it's not just the criminal court Trump is heading to but possibly a divorce one too."
The former Slovenian supermodel has been absent from the public eye ever since leaving the White House in 2021. While it is not uncommon for former First Ladies to distance themselves from public life after their husband's tenure, Melania's prolonged disappearance has raised eyebrows about the state of her marriage with Trump.
Where is Melania Trump?
When Trump flew to New York ahead of his court appearance over alleged hush payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels and model Karen McDougal, Melania was not listed on the flight aboard his private jet. Instead, the ex-president was accompanied by his son Eric, campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung, communications aide Jason Miller, former White House aide Dan Scavino, his lawyer Boris Epshteyn and a host of campaign aides. According to the Mirror, Melania is said to be focusing on raising the couple's 17-year-old son, Barron.
When news of Donald's indictment broke in March, Melania reportedly had dinner with him at their seaside home. However, she wasn't seen or heard from. Furthermore, the former first lady's use of social media has also significantly reduced. While her tweets have been sporadic at best, she has ensured not to comment on political issues or current affairs since her departure from the White House.
Potential divorce?
It's worth noting that speculation has been rife about Melania's future plans, with some reports suggesting she may be considering a divorce from her husband. There were rumors that she renegotiated her prenup with her husband when they moved into the White House. Regardless, despite all the rumors, Melania is yet to comment on her predicament. All claims of a possible separation are hearsay at this point, but it isn't hard to see why they're making the rounds given the optics of the situation.
