Carl Dean is one of the most private people associated with the entertainment industry. He is rarely seen in any of the pictures shared by Dolly on her social media handles. Recently, Dolly shared another throwback picture with her husband and captioned, "Find you a partner who will support you like my Carl does."
The couple got married in 1966 and has never been in the media limelight since then. Even though Dolly has become one of the biggest artists in the world over the decade, she has never brought her family into the public eye. In an interview, Dolly explained why her husband is so private and why she liked to keep him out of the limelight even after she became a global icon.
Speaking to ET, she explained, "He's like a quiet, reserved person and he figured if he ever got out there in that, he would never get a minute's peace and he is right about that." Further, she added, "He said, 'I didn't choose this world, I chose you and you chose that world. But we can keep our lives separate and together.' And we do and we have. We have been together 56 years, married 54."
After Dolly shared the picture on her Twitter handle, her fans have flooded her account with sweet comments. A user wrote, "Happy Thanksgiving to you as well Dolly! You are my favorite entertainer, and think the world of you and all you do to give back. Many blessings and a great holiday season. Keep the love flowing". One of her fans wrote, "Dolly, you truly are a secular saint and we are very thankful for you. In a world that constantly tests our will and breaks our heart, you always manage to give the gifts of hope and joy." Another user wrote, "The Greta Garbo of country royalty, Carl Dean! Happiest Thanksgiving to you and yours, Dolly. Thank you for all you've done and continue to do for humanity."
