LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Doja Cat reportedly lodged a complaint against an angry fan at Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for making a death threat against her. An angry fan targeted the rapper after she kicked him out of a private chat online.

According to TMZ, though the fan got kicked out of the chat, he later got back into the chat and threatened to kill the 'Kiss Me More' singer, claiming he would see her soon. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating the incident. TMZ also reported that the fan lives outside the state of California.

The 'Say So' singer, who often engages with her fans online, even fought with them on Twitter in March and famously claimed she quit music. The episode started after she canceled her show at Music Festival Wizard's Asuncionico 2022 in Asunción, Paraguay, on March 22, due to incessant rain and inclement weather, reported Teen Vogue. She responded to many disappointed fans and said she was "not sorry" for doing the same. To one of the fans, who said, "Doja about 4 years ago you started to achieve fame and all thanks to tik tok what happened to your humility queen? I loved you," she responded, "It’s gone and i don’t give a f**k anymore i f**in quit i can’t wait to f*****g disappear and i don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and i’m a f*****g fool for ever thinking i was made for this this is a f*****g nightmare unfollow me."

Meanwhile, when another fan stated, "Juss bc the Paraguayans “fans” aren’t pleased with you for not doin something that you didn’t want to do, that doesn’t mean your real fans dislike you. That’s on them for not respecting your space and privacy n they can hate. But focus on the others who care and understand you," she responded, "I don’t have to focus on anything because i quit."

'Be the celebrity you are'

Netizens quickly reacted to the chatroom incident as a user said, "She not sick of chatrooms yet." Another added, "Why she still in the chat rooms she ain’t for real life friends?" Another comment read, "She ain’t ever staying out of them chat rooms please be the celebrity you are." A user claimed, "You know how many death threat go out in a day in a chat room? Lol." "Oh wow she should not even be back in those chats poor doja," read a tweet. "This what happens when stay out of those nasty chats," added another. A tweet read, "Lord. Protect Doja." "She never learns," added a user. "I need Doja Cat to find some hobbies in 2023 and leave them chatrooms alone," wrote another.
