Does xQc co-own 'GTA' roleplay server NoPixel? Who are his other partners?
Twitch streamer xQc recently announced that he was a a part owner of the well-known 'GTA' roleplay server NoPixel. Felix Lengyel aka xQc has a long history with NoPixel.The broadcaster was often banned by the well-known 'GTA' role-play server during their tenure together, with the most recent being in January 2022.
xQc's ban was only for 24 hours as opposed to a "permanent" one he received in 2021. Despite the disagreements the streamer and server have had over the years, xQc's 'GTA' RP streams have consistently attracted more than 100,000 Twitch users, making them extremely popular on the platform.
'Here's the gist of it'
xQc sought to clear the air before making an announcement during a Twitch broadcast on Tuesday, May 30, while replying to a discussion online. He said, “Okay, here’s the gist of it. I’m going to say and then explain why and how. Okay okay."
Knowing that gamers might be concerned given his "explosive" past, xQc clarified his position as an owner of the RP server. He said, “But wait, a bunch of people are going to get worried. Because yeah I was a really explosive part of it. I got banned a bunch of times. My involvement in the whole NoPixel RP, the whole realm has nothing to do with any admin decisions, admin whatever, bans, unbans, rules, anything at all."
'I own 25%'
During the stream, xQc said, "Koil owned 100% of NoPixel. Okay. Then me and Buddha came in, and then Koil now owns 50%, I own 25% and Buddha owns 25%. And together, we own the whole NoPixel world.” Koil is NoPixel project's lead developer and a seasoned player.
Buddha aka Lang Buddha, a character of the 'GTA' RP streamer, has been present since the beginning and gained some popularity on Twitch when streamers initially played on the 'State of Emergency' server. His characte has gone through several changes, from being a taxi driver and petty thief to a criminal leader who is somewhat focused on business.
